I wanted to emphazise the diferent counterplays that some weapons have in the game (hence, the "triforce" of counters) in their most idealistic scenario.
Enemy has missiles? A laser shot destroys them all
Enemy has lasers? Cannon shots pass right though them
Enemy has cannons? Stop the cannonshots with missiles
Want to pass on all of this? Then fortify your front and make T3.
This map is not intended to be balanced, it's rather intented to be wacky and fun. If you have trouble with it however, try to play this map with at least 1 offensive mod added, as i do.
Also, there is some mastery to it. Only the position of the shots is scrambled but not the direction as you said. If your shots are aiming up you have a higher chance to hit the upper players (3 and 4), and if you are aiming down you will have a greater chance of hitting the lower players (1 and 2) :)
The concept is interesting, and the layout is visually appealing.
The portal wall in the middle however is a complete fiasco and makes the map nigh unplayable.
Basically, it will take any shots, send them through a long portal tunnel, and spit them out in a random direction on the other side. Every shot is literally a dice roll - there's no way to accurately aim your hits, not even with lasers.
And don't even think about using rockets, mortars, or nukes. Random shot placement is one thing, but the portal tunnel also means that AA will have plenty of time to shoot down whatever's coming through several times over. And naturally, you cannot snipe or shotgun down the exposed AA because of the portal wall random shot spread.
Realistically, the only practical way to play this is to bypass the portal wall entirely by going for a T3 cannon war. With Moonshine, in case there's R2S. Such fun.
