BTA-NR2 Y-Wing Starfighter Bomber (resistance)

The BTL-S3 Y-wing Starfighter was a variant of the Y-wing starfighter line. It was typically crewed by a pilot and gunner, who sat back-to-back in the cockpit. An astromech droid could occupy an exterior socket. It was developed for Galactic Republic service in the Clone Wars, but became most famous for its use by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Imperial Era. Despite its slow speed and ponderous handling characteristics, these craft were renowned for their toughness in the Galactic Civil War. They where also used by the resistance in the Battle of Exegol where they attacked and destroyed Xyston-Class Star Destroyers.
