Description
This test is for the winter 2019 thinking with portals contest!

I did not make this test in Bee mod or Hammer. I used the puzzle maker. It is focused more on platforming and towering, though it has puzzle elements.

I took the "Towering" idea in two different ways: An actual tower and something towering above you. I combined both of those, and made a massive test that keeps going up! There are many surprises, trap doors, and everything in the test is used at some point! I'm still learning how to use Hammer effectively, and so it may not be as good as some others.

It is designed for more experienced players, but with enough tries can be beaten by new ones.

Known bugs:
A very loud noise plays when you first enter the test, from all of the panels and elevators being set into place.
Sometimes jumping onto an inclined panel is hard, as the barriers are slightly glitched. Jumping at an angle facing the panel helps.

Thank you, and enjoy the test!

Nice one! I hate dying all the time, and that's why I'm not a fan of old platform games, but this one is nice.
I would definitely play a part 2....Give my maps a try if you want. I think it would be of your taste

Wow, this really needs some savepoints.
Apart from that, that's a very nice parkour track you've given us. Thanks mate!

NB: By keeping in mind which portal was used to place a cube on the very first button of the level through the first elevators up to the laser part, one can take that cube back by portalling to it and back to carry it to the chamber at the top (although it requires some coordination to pass it over the fizzler on the twin moving platforms right before the wide chamber at the top).
I don't know if that can help in going through at any point (except for blocking turrets shots, that is), but if it does, you just need to extend the fizzler on the twin moving platforms by one vertical block, or to add another fizzler on the way.

@Nobody No-One, yea, the puzzling was minimum. My goal was to make it as towering as possible, and I mostly decided to just make a platforming parkour map. The turret trap, I can see why you didn't like it, lol.

@Super Dirt, I'm glad you liked it!

@Rector, You solved it in a very interesting way, and it was fun to watch! I hope you at least enjoyed it a little. As I said, I mostly focused on making it more parkour than puzzle.

@Narkodes, positive criticism? I really want to improve in any way I can, and this was my first major map for something big!

There's nothing positive I can say about this map.

Um no I did not enjoy that. It's mostly parkour and traps which I'm not a fan of.

Ok, this map... I personally liked it! It was parkour, not a puzzle, but having loved Getting Over It, this map was nice. I had an idea of making something like that myself. Some parts were hard, some things were difficult, but all in all, this was pleasent. Although expect judges to hate it.

In my opinion it was too parkour-y without much of a logical puzzle which is not really to my personal tastes. I also really disliked the turret death trap in the last area.
