H19 - Hecaton - LDMC

The H19, Hecaton, Light Duty Multipurpose Carrier was originally designed as a mobile landing field for search and rescue operations. Later modications made it possible to serve as a mobile fuel and ops center for military operations and air and space fighter patrol operations.

When asked if it could be further modified to the meet the needs of hostile aliens worlds ripe for exploration and exploitation, the answer a simple and resounding yes. Where once there had been two full flight decks, one for servicing and one for refueling. There was now a single lower flight deck, and two smaller ones. An extension was build on to the front to increase the landing space on the craft as well. On the second deck, half of it had been converted into crew quarters, a briefing room, and ready room/medivac room.

In conjunction with the crafts redesign for extra-solar operations, a small versatile fighter capable of fitting an array of equipment was designed with consideration to the nature of the vessel and it's structure. This fighter is known simply as the Gladius.

-Top flight deck for VIPs, also serves as secondary pad for medivac, and troop transports

MINING EQUIPMENT
-Mining laser
-harvest container controller

DIVING EQUIPMENT
-Diving illumination array on underside of vessel just in front of the rear loading ramp
-Security turret embedded on underside of vessel for protection of dive teams from wildlife.

REPAIR EQUIPMENT
-Repair turret on ceiling of lower flight deck.

EXTRA STORAGE
-Armor lockers, fridges, and containers can be found behind shutters on the lower flight deck
