There's no way to override the armor preview mannequin I don't think, which is something that most people just deal with, unfortunately. To be honest, this mod is fine, since I have other mannequin mods that can use the default. My issue is actually that it screws with the Arachne race, since apparently their mannequin just has a unique legs and uses the default mannequin for the torso and head... meaning I have a drider-Protogen mannequin. It's hilarious to look at, but *really* doesn't fit what I'm going for.
I don't want to sound harsh, but I feel like your best course of action might be just giving up on the armor preview and making it a separate object.
I literally said exactly that
I’ve been looking into doing it another way, but right now this is all I’ve got
Download https://community.playstarbound.com/resources/merr-kin.5701/ .
Merrkin\humanoid\any
Merrkin\objects\merrkin\merrkinmannequin
Merrkin\interface\scripted\merrkinmannequin
Copy all those files and rename them to something unique. Then change the sprites to what you have here. No need to override the vanilla mannequin.
