Plz-05 self-propelled howitzer is the first 155mm crawler type self-propelled howitzer officially equipped by the Chinese people's Liberation Army. It is improved from 83 type self-propelled howitzer. It has 52 times caliber barrel. It is used to replace the 83 type self-propelled howitzer. It was produced in 2005 and put into large-scale service.
