🍾 Halloween Spells 🍾
"Halloween Spells" are single use tool items that are used to give various Halloween themed effects to weapons, cosmetic items, or classes, depending on the spell. They were deleted after Scream Fortress 2014, but they remained on the items, that's why they are rare and sometimes really expensive. Effect of the spells are visible only during Halloween or Full Moon, but most of community servers has enabled "Halloween Mode", and there is also the "Eternaween Enchants" that lets you have halloween on any official TF2 servers for 2 hours. There was no spells added in the game since Halloween 2014, and the last spells were tradeable until "Tough Break" update in December 2015.

There are 4 types of spells:

  • This item cannot be applied to the Rocket Jumper.
  • This item can be applied to the Cow Mangler 5000, but will not cause any Squash Rockets effect (the Cow Mangler 5000 already has unique team-colored trail and explosion effects).

Sentry Quad-Pumpkins
Sentry Quad-Pumpkins
When this spell is applied to any of the Engineer's melee weapons, it gives the Level 3 Sentry Gun's rockets a purple smoke trail and an orange-colored Pumpkin Bomb explosion effect.

Voices From Below - when applied to a cosmetic item, it will lower the pitch at which the wearer speaks if they have that cosmetic item equipped.

"Post-Life" spelled items are spelled items that were made between November 11th 2014 and December 17th 2015, they were made using a glitch where you could trade the spells without they expire. If the account didn't launch TF2, spells would remain in your inventory, and the person receiving the items in a trade needed to be in "offline mode" on Steam and then "sort" his inventory after accepting the trade, thus making the spells appear without they expire in your inventory, and you could still use them on items, before the "Tough Break" update that made the spells Un-Tradeable, making the glitch impossible, thus stopping the making of new "Post-Life" items. Note: "Post-Life" spelled items prices may be a lot more expensive than the regular spelled items due to rarity.

the community isnt dumb
tf2 community is more into memes rather than trading
thats why a meme guide is more popular than a useful guide about trading
