东风-17是中国第一型高超声速导弹，导弹射程在1800~2500公里，于中华人民共和国70周年国庆阅兵首次亮相。东风-17具备全天候、无依托、强突防等特点，可以数倍于音速的速度作规避动作，飞行过程中可以转换攻击目标，突破反导弹拦截系统，投放核武器，对中近程目标实施精确打击。
