Description
(BA Class 2, Unlock Level 7)

Primary roles: Custom docking platform for the MCRN-Tachi. Can be upgraded for repair.

The MCRN-Corvette Class - Surface Docking Platform is a specially designed structure to allow proper landing with the MCRN-Tachi on the surface of a planet. It does not have any weapons installed and made with carbon substrate to keep costs low. To counter this, the core is in a separate small concrete structure away from the main base. This allows drones to have their fun, and keep the base from be damaged besides the small side core holder. It is still functional not powered up.

Features:

1. Marked spots for adding repair bay and console.
2. Solar powered with 6 large solar panels, 1 capacitor
3. 1 small generator + fuel tank as backup
4. Control switch to engage docking ramps to docked MCRN Tachi.
5. 3D docking guidance display

Docking instructions

1. In MCRN Tachi, go to docking cockpit in the Engineering Deck
2. Align ship to low side of base.
3. Approach slowly, line up to LCD guides. The goal is to have the first LCD guide directly in front of your view.
4. You should notice once low enough landing gear will come down. They should line up to the block in front of the arrows. Once that happens, press C to land tightly.
5. Docking complete.

Notes: Docking is pretty easy, but might take a try or two to get it right. I have docked the ship a lot of times and have always been fairly closely aligned. It does not require perfection. Just make sure the LCD display is as close to centered as you can get it, but a little off doesn't really matter.

Can you put an illustration showing which direction is which, with the block count per direction? It's small detail, but will add greatly. Thanks!

I'm returning to EGS after a long break, so I've been browsing through the workshop to check out the latest designs. I'm nowhere near ready to build a Tachi yet, but I was playing around in creative to see what the options are. I've been really impressed with several of these MCRN designs, but the rifle sight docking system you have set up here is brilliant. Kudos to you, sir.

Then i've spend the all day to merge your work toghether, i mean to add the Nest, the Point Defense T1, the Cargo System, and the Corvette Class SDP in one single structure and one core. It's look like a real colony of Mars now, i feel so good. Thanx you for make it true ! And thx to u and your friend to share it. Sorry for my english.
PS: I renamed the Tachi by Rocinante no offence?

Hi, it's me again, i've to say first, i didn't see all of your work so i subscribe to all of it, because you and your friend have good taste ! It's very nice ship and base, but i've to make some change on settings, not the pretty design :)
I'm not so good with the core outside of the base, so i've make a new one under the structures to keep it safe. I've add a little extention to the roof platform of the Nest HMC, and to the ground for landing the Draper MEC without landing pad and give an access to it by roff and ground. I've do an small extention on the Corvette Class SDP to access more easly to the ramp and for docking.

Thank you Tex and Zuleica! @Tex, sorry I must have missed your comment. I am not sure on the problem you were having but I do know it takes some practice at it. Basically knowing the right angle and height to approach at and then when to park it. If you are sorta locked in on the height, the ship will not be allowed to move further up and then you just dock. The front landing gear should like up to decals on the surface there. I had to think of something tricky to make a stock shape Tachi land. I hope you figured it out and sorry about the late response. I keep having trouble trying to dock. I think I have the Tachi in the right place, but in the next instant, I'm suddenly 100 meters in the air. And it doesn't matter what I do, how SLIGHTLY I adjust the ship, it keeps warping upward. Any ideas as to why this happens? Thanks.
