Can You Stop Doomsday?
Fight a terrifying new menace. Encounter Doomsday, a new monster in three new challenging dungeon encounters! If you can defeat this powerful creature, you have a chance to earn crystal shards, rare trinkets, or new quirks that may help you in your Color of Madness adventures. Will you be able to defeat him before your heroes meet their doom?

In addition to new dungeons, there is a small random chance to encounter Doomsday in the Endless Harvest Quest or in LVL 2, 3, 4, or 5 Dungeons in the Weald, Cove or Sunward Isles (Optional Mod). Random encounters do NOT occur in the Ruins, Warrens or Crimson Court. You will see a visual indicator that means there is a 25% CHANCE at the encounter in that area.

Difficulty = VERY VERY HARD
TIP! This is a tactically challenging monster mod. Even with great preparation, like the base game, unluckiness can destroy you in a second. As you learn, however, there are helpful strategies.

New Dungeon Mechanic
These new dungeons feature one way doors. You can't always freely go back. So make a choice, live with the choice. You won't be able to reach all rooms, battles, or secrets on a map.

Detailed Dungeon Trigger Requirements
Quest LVL 1: Minimum Ruins Dungeon LVL 2, Minimum Week 10, Must Have 5 LVL 3 Heroes,
Quest LVL 3: Minimum Warrens Dungeon LVL 3, Minimum Week 32, Must Have 5 LVL 4 Heroes
Quest LVL 6 Hamlet: Minimum Week 52, Must Have 6 LVL 6 Heros
If Quest is not showing up, you need to clear base game boss monsters in the corresponding area; only so many Boss quests can appear at the same time.


Random Dungeon Tooltip Overlap
If both the Thing and Doomsday random battles chance appear in same dungeon area, the tooltips will overlap; this is a hard-coded visual issue only; should not affect gameplay.

Compatibility
*Recommend install on a NEW save. Doomsday will work on saves with 100s of weeks, but please note: dungeon trigger order may vary since time requirements will all be met already.
*Generally: Game changing Mods on Top, Then Monster Mods (including Doomsday)in Middle, then Hero Mods on Bottom of load order.


Optional Levels 2 + 4 Quests Compatible
Compatible with retrotheft's Level 2 + 4 Quests Mod. Low random hallway encounter chance with Doomsday in LVL 2 + 4 dungeons in the Weald and Cove. Random battle does NOT occur in the Ruins, the Warrens or the Crimson Court.

Integrates w/Compact Quest Screen
Hunting Slime's Mod connects all DLC + new dungeon areas on new regional map. Plus includes expanded roaming monster icons! Download Mod Load: CQS ABOVE Doomsday (or Pet Cemetery)


Optional Sunward Isles Compatible
If Sunward Isles (Dungeon Mod) is installed, low random hallway encounter chance with Doomsday in LVL 2, 3, 4, or 5 dungeons.

If Doomsday and Pets Mod are both installed, and if your Heroes are very thorough, they may discover secrets in their travels. Check out the Pets (Trinkets + Monster Mod). Optional mod.

oddly enough i initially look at this as extremely lore-unfriendly, but the more i've played with it the more it seems to fit in. art isnt as bad as people say it is. fight is usually pretty easy but its unique. the real pain comes from the crazy dungeons leading up to it. pretty good mod.

Unlike the person below me, i found Doomsday fine visually. Mechanically he is underwhelming. The dungeon is objectively one of the worst things ever. Not a balance thing, but by design it's a travesty. Doomsday could benefit from a LITE version, making his encounter an exclusive boss fight not requiring a dungeon to traverse. Shifting the focus solely on him, giving the player a fight to plan and prepare for, implying to better balancing and more fun engagement.

Otherwise there's just random rooms and hallways that are disconnected and inaccessible, along with a short slog dungeon with a weird door gimmick(?) to a 6/10 boss..And yeah, it honestly sucks to not be able to remove this mod. Do i recommend it? For a throwaway save sure. On a serious save with dozens to hundreds of weeks maybe? No... just no

How I regret downloading this mod, now it's baked into my save.

The sounds of Doomsday quite bad and unfit to DD. The boss itself looks very out of place, low quality, with dumb animations that are laughable. For example he jumps into your heroes as if he was divebombing a pool... what?

On the other end he does almost no damage so the fight becomes a snoozefest...

I might come up with a way to delete this mod, if I do, I'll upload it.

干你娘,最后一次打这boss为6级,打不过还要毁你小镇,还容易坏档。关里怪全是40%+防御的,boss又肉又有65%的防御,虽然打召唤物可以减防,但召唤物也是肉得一B,打到后面boss上千的百分比增益,奖励又少,打牛魔

Leaving this for the people who are thinking of downloading this mod:
It IS very beatable vanilla, you just need armor piercing, high dodge and healing, stress comes after.

You cannot remove this mod so use it in a disposable save or a save dedicated to testing this mod.

The dungeons that come with this mod are absolute DOGSHIT not even gonna sugar coat it. They dont even let you explore. Most rooms that SEEM to connect with corridors dont actually connect with corridors and cannot be accessed. This doesnt softlock you as somehow the road to the boss is always open but its a major mistake.

Still, this is a mod that adds content so overal good! :praisesun:

Don't play this unless you have broken mods. The boss and the custom dungeons are some of the worst I've ever seen.

Oh, and also there is no "Remover" mod for Doomsday, am I right?
Due to limitations of modding you can't remove mods which contain roaming bosses, because your save just won't load. Usually roaming bosses come up with special "remover" patch which basically simulates roaming boss, which allows you to safely remove original roamer and then the patch itself. Could you create such patch for Doomsday, since currently there are none for Doomsday in the workshop?

Could you make Doomsday first encounter require completion of the first Farmstead mission? Currently you can complete all Doomsday fights without even entering Farm thus somewhat breaking progression and getting a lot of shards. Also this will serve as a somewhat better introduction to the incursion of Doomsday and other enemies from the farm.
The fight itself looks great, however minor criticism I have is his free skill "Doomsday Comes", which he uses every turn. For sone reason it can crit. Not only this is somewhat inconsistent with base game, since skills that don't do damage can't crit, but also it creates a layer of rng, since skill is supposed to gradually ramp up in stress damage. Currently it is somewhat hard to track, since he can occasionally dish out way more stress than it should thanks to crits. There isn't even an obvious indicator of crit, except voice-over, since we can't see damage.
I love the mod and I hope that you will adress this issues soon!
