I did notice that too. I think that this is abusing a weird quirk with the plunger.

Had a lot of trouble actually getting Tim to bother to walk when bumping him with the plunger. He would just shift over, completely unfazed.

A very good puzzle. However, I had a slight deviation and a few extra walls will do the trick to make the solution more air tight:

Place a horizontal wall behind the highest Waldo (should snap to the hamster motor) and place a vertical wall just under the iron ball. This will stop the iron ball from skip hitting the hamster motor like I did and stop the seesaw quirk of a slight twitch activating the switch via bowling ball.
