#3.5: don't forget to put the textures and asign them with the Edit Mode and one option to select and assign the texture.
i highly recommend you to check videos about how to add textures in Blender.
#4: you have to use a text file called QC, and is hard for me to explain.
is basically "coding" but also "telling the program what to do"
i usually use other addons as reference to help myself to know which thing goes first
#5: use the program "Crowbar" to "compile", that helps you to port the model finally.
#6: use VTFEdit to transform textures into "Source texture files".
i can't explain everything, but that's what i remember the most.
i recommend you to speak with the user "sal4" which he leads a modding Killer7 server, find him on Twitter or Instagram.
#3: there's a thing in Blender called "Shape Keys"
the Shape Keys helps you to create facial expressions.
altough you can also make facial expressions with new bones for the "head bone"
basically duplicating the bone and rename it, and selecting it with "Weight Paint", that is also the process you need to select the bones and model parts as if you are painting on WIndows Paint but in 3D.
but of course, before you are ready to connect the bones, you have to select the model and the bone (with that order) and then press Ctrl + P.
and then press "Set Parent to Empty".
as for the Shape Keys, you have to make facial expressions manually using the "Edit Mode".
you really really reaaaally need to learn how to use these options into Blender.
and you also need the Source Engine Blender Addon that allows you to make compatible models for the Source Engine.
#1: i used Blender, and, a program that me and my friend extracted from the original Gamecube files, using a emulator called "VirtualBox", which is a Windows classic emulator.
we run a program (which i forgot), and we used the Gamecube version of Killer7.
plus, you need to use the CMD to extract them (which i forgot, it's been years).
#2: use Blender, to port it on SFM.
the models don't have bones, so i have to made them myself.
i have to use a common Half-Life 2 bone, to put if on Dan.
yeah, you can port Dan on that game
credit me of course
i tried to port Dan with custom ragdoll, trust me.
and i hope do that when i can because i'm having a lot of issues to make a custom ragdoll.
