How to change your map on Life is Feudal Your Own for free (Feudal Tools on a Nitrado server)

Here i will share with you step by step my experience and how to change and mod your map using Feudal Tools, and soon you will enjoy it on your Nitrado Server :)
- How use Feudal Tool and configure your server for the modding, deploying the map, prepar your server to be patched and welcome the new map ^^, patch your server, reset the Animals Spawns emplacements for the NEW MAP :DDDD
- How long it take? and possible errors.

How use Feudal Tool and configure your server for the modding

1/ Set your Fresh Server to make the launch light as possible:
In your Nitrado Server panel check the Settings --> General


Set: NO Animals spawns and day cycle to 1
As the server is refreshing itself every midnight in-game day, we will need the shortest cycle for the next patches)


Restart the server (take above 10 minutes for me) and put it in Favorites List
(More easier now, as you could reconnize it with the stats)



2/ Link your Nitrado server to Feudal Tools : (previous tutorial)

3/ Stop your server

Deploying the map :)

4/ On Feudal Tools Website, choose your map:

(I advice you to choose the more dld ones, if you are not sure of what you're doing, as less dld have sometimes no support and don't work for the new version of the client //// Or choose a map create by a trusted creator)

5/ Deploying the map :



6/ What is like ?



Select your server you add in the Dashboard of Feudal Tools and deploy.

You could see the progression in the Dashboard:




7/ View the results after above 20 minutes for the map i choosed:


Then follow the next step....

Prepar your server to be patched and welcome the new map ^^

8/ Change the terrains files:



Extract them:



9/ Upload the new Terrains Files in your NItrado Server:

Nitrado Panel--> Files Browser -->Lifeisfeudal-->data-->terrains


Notice that the old files are from the 2014 version :)

Upload the new Terrains Files :


It take time and you could see the progression here:

You have to wait:
(If you close your webbrowser or this page, the Upload is stopped)



12:28---> 13:07 Above 40 minutes of uploading

Patch your server :D

10/ Restart your server:
You could check your server Event Log to see what you've done.


11/ Wait to see Up your server in the LIF YO Favorite List (you could refresh it).... and be PATIENT!
I will explain why later xD



After 4 hours, next step --->

Reset the Animals Spawns emplacements for the NEW MAP :DDDD

13/ The 13th Step.... Could be a damned number, the step where you could..... restart all the process if you're tempted by Evil.....

Don't log on to your server....

Stop your server and .... wait, don't force it.... Let's your server free to stop by itself XD You've waited since 4 hours..... there will be again 2 more hours after this :x .... so: Be efficient, be patient xD

To cheer you up:





14/ Set the number of animals spawns you want (0-100, more high is the number more you will have to wait)



15/ Erase the animals spawns files :


/16 Restart your server, it will refresh it :




17h... to 19h07 to refresh the spawns points... Above 2 hours depending of the amount of points.

How long for your New Map and possible client error

17/ Check your LIF YO favorites list waiting your server to show up:



Start at 11h47
Deploy the map: 20 minutes
Upload the new terrains files: 40 minutes
Patch the server with them: 4 hours
Refresh the Animals Spawn points : 2 hours (middle amount of spawning points)
Total time of web navigation: 20 minutes
End at 19h07

7 hours 20 minutes of process if you're patient.... much more if you don't respect the steps and break the process.

And Here you go :) Enjoy your new map !!!!
