Byzantine Looking Byzantine Portraits!!! (Ironman Compatible)

Description
What is this Mod?

Have you grown tired of the same old usual boring Byzantine Portraits and want to use a mod with the vanilla game? well with plenty of hard work and headaches I have now brought you this mod. I personally found the default pictures to be annoying because they were both bland and pretty inaccurate the Byzantines would not have looked like central Europeans and would have looked more like slightly tanned Southern Europeans so I made this mod to fill that desire.

It Works with multiplayer and you don't need to get others to download it to get it to work while playing with them, so please don't ask does it work with multiplayer. and just so you know when mods say Ironman Compatible that means that mod works for everyone on multiplayer without the people they play with having to have the mod. and it also means it works with Steam Achievements so you are able to leave them on.

Does it replace the default faction leader portraits?
Yes it does, I saw alot of other Byzantine portrait mods but they either didn't seem to work or the faction leaders still had default portraits which was a major reason why I decided to develop this mod.

Compatible Mods.
it should be compatible with most other mods as long as they don't change Byzantine Portraits. but there are a few mods I know it works with 100%

CPRplus - Cultures and Portraits Revamped (Compatible)
Changing Imperial Diadem (Compatible)
Patrum Scuta (Ironman/Compatible)
Crimson Tooltip (Ironman/Compatible)

My Other Mods!!!

The Custom Gift Mod
it is a mod that gives the player more options to give custom sums of money to other players and ai. unfortunately it is not Ironman Compatible as files that had to be edited in order to get it to work change the game version so if you want to play the gift mod both you and you're friends will need to get it.
Custom gift Mod.

@Jån Snø He used the Levantine graphics from Holy Fury, and lightened them. :)

@Benji mate, I know people have been asking this question for a while, but I can't figure out how you made the Byzantine portrait like your first picture. You mentioned hair etc, but the ethnicity of your mod basically makes Byzantines into the vanilla roman portrait.

@kamcity13 I am not sure as to why but usually the glitches I have become aware of recently are usually due to a issue between this and one of the portrait dlcs so try disabling some of the greek/byzantine default portrait packs and see if that works, in the meantime I will see if I can do anything about it. as for most people that seems to not happen, but it may also be acting weird if you are using another mod along with it.

When I use this mod, unfortunately the Eastern Romans don't wear the later period clothing in the portraits.

How come the first portrait looks so different

@Bobo, ethnicity is not just DNA, it is also culture. Ethnicity is basically a category of people who have a shared sense of identity, usually in the form of a common genealogy, ancestry, common language or dialect, religion, history, culture, nation, or society. Your DNA alone does not determine ethnicity. If that was true, I'd be German. But I'm not. At most I'm German American, but based on my culture and language I'm just a White American, since my family has been here since before the revolution.

@Khan By the Middle ages they were already mixed. And yes you are right depends on the Dynasty that ruled at the time and what Location of the know world they came from. Not really you or the mod . Just some people get hung up and don't know the difference culture vs ethnic group.  Ethnic is your DNA . Culture is your customs, terrain (Geographical location) , religion and law.  But I do understand why you did this because you wanted then to look different than the Italian group.
LordHotspur  [author] Sep 7, 2019 @ 2:34pm
@BoboMaximus and what I pointed out is I never classified them as a single ethnic group but you either don't seem to be getting that or are just making a statement for others to know. however during certain eras of both the Roman and Byzantine Empires they often had one ethnic group who dominated politics etc because that group made up the majority of the countries population.
BoboMaximus Sep 7, 2019 @ 2:30pm
@Khan it was a general statement. You can't historically classify Roman as a single ethnic group. Even the Italian peninsula was a ethnic diverse.
