Grant Thompson Randomizer Rocket

Description
This is a replica of the “Randomizer” rocket, a model rocket made by Grant Thompson, AKA The King of Random, a youtuber who died on July 29 in a paragliding accident. I decided to make this in honor of him. Grant was an inspiration for me to start being creative and to have a desire to create and design, and when I found out the limitations I have for building things, steered me towards sandbox games, eventually ending up with the obsession with sandbox games I have today. After seeing a Randomizer rocket someone made on the Stormworks community page, I decided that I should also make a Randomizer, a project I longed to create but never got to, in honor of Grant. It comes complete with a rotating launchpad and an N64 controller, which were made to complement the rocket in following videos. The rocket also has realistic rocket burn times and parachute cover ejection, however no parachute as they haven’t been implemented yet.

To use, press e/q on the black, upper right button to rotate the rocket. The rocket will go towards the direction the “F” on the rocket and the stabilizer rod is facing. Press e the black button in the middle to check status, if the green light is on the rocket is ready to launch. Finally, press the black button and the bottom right red button to launch the rocket. The rocket will burn out after a few seconds and the yellow parachute cap will jettison rocket curves back down. Unfortunately, due to the lack of parachutes the rocket will just smash into the ground after that. To use the onboard camera, press c until it cycles to the camera. If the rocket is unsecured or something is broken the green light will most likely not turn on, in that case reset the rocket and try again.

It’s not the best looking rocket, or the best working one. But I hope this is good enough

RIP Grant
