T-34E STZ vs. T-34E
By ☭ Soviet Floaty B0i ☭
In this Guide we shall compare the T-34E STZ and the premium T-34E as , on the surface, they seem somewhat simmilar, and as of August 2019 have the same BR in Realistic, Simulator and Arcade.

Intro and Info
BE WARNED: THE SCREENSHOT LANGUAGE IS IN GERMAN, I expect you guys to figure out what is what, since positions of stats dont change with language (also im lazy)

The description says it all, we shall be comparing the T-34E STZ and the T-34E
Stat Differences
Placement: They are both placed at the lower hald of Rank 2 in the Soviet Tech Tree, only difference being that one is a Premium and one isnt.

Battlerating: In Realistic and Arcade both Vehicles sit at 4.0 (as of August 2019) and in Simulator they sit at 3.7 but I honestly doubt that if you play Simulator regularly that you would be needing a guide on these two Vehicles

Gun, Ammo, Engine, Weight and more: Here is where the first real differences begin to show, but not for now since the guns are exactly the same, with the same ammo choice, (shockingly simmilar story with the modifications) with the only difference being that the Premium gets it all for free insert soviet anthem
Fun Fact: The T-34E has less MG ammo, 1008 less to be exact.
The Engine are the same, but the T-34E is slightly heavier, making the T-34E STZ 6 km/h faster.
Armor
Armor: as you might have noticed in the previous section, the T-34E is heavier, thats because it is plated with 15mm Armor plates around the Hull and on the Turret cheeks

Note: Unlike the T-34E STZ these plates DO NOT cover the Hull front.
And make no mistake, the 15mm plates will not save you from anything expcet maybe an unlucky German HEAT shell, but they are not suited for anything else, they cover only the upper portion of the Tracks, and if a HE shell hits there you will have your Tracks blown off anyway.

The Armor on the T-34E STZ is the complete opposite, as it has additional 15mm of armor on the Front, only the front, Turret not included. And even on the Hull Front, the armor is kinda patchwork-y, it doesnt cover the Hull MG, the Drivers hatch and what appears to be rings for crane attachments.

Tactics
T-34E: To abuse the already small Turret, go Hull down, the aditional armor helps to cover the nasty shot-traps that are the cheeks.
Be advised: This is an incredibly situational Strat, since you need to be far enough behind cover that your massive turret ring doesnt show, this could lead to Temptations of camping far away, which is a somewhat bad thing to do, since your gun (compared to most Germans on that BR and even your own TD's) is worse in every aspect and you should be close to the front line, you dont have 43 km/h top speed for nothing.
For ammo you want to use the Stock BR-350A (MD-5 fuse) for the Damage, and the BR-350SP for the penetration, do not use the APCR shell, the extra pen isn't worth the massive penetration fall-off.

Another important thing to keep in mind: Do not get cocky, do not go ♥♥♥♥♥♥, you are not invincible from the side. Do not be reckless in showing your sides, you may have those retarded Fuel tanks in the Tank, but dont count on it. Your not a heavy Tank just because of the "E"!

T-34E STZ: It basically does what every other T-34 does, glorious frontal charge for the Motherland uraaaaa,
you have the small turret and the gun to match from the T-34 1941 which sits at BR 3.7, the gun isnt weak and you get some more Ammo choices, for ammo you want to use the Stock BR-350A (MD-5 fuse) for the Damage, and the BR-350SP for the penetration, do not use the APCR shell, the extra pen isn't worth the massive penetration fall-off. if you havent noticed, its the same as with the T-34E, because its the same damn Gun.

Final Conclusion
These are upgrades to the T-34 1941 with the main gimmick in both cases being add-on armor (hence the "E" if you havent noticed the trend with the KV-1E, T-26E and the T-28E)

Unlike with the KV-1E the benefits of that armor arent all that game-deciding, and strategies to utilize them are situational and dont pay off nearly as mutch as if you just use them like normal mediums and support the front/flank around oblivious people.

I suggest using the T-34E STZ since it gets more speed and the Armor is slightly more usefull in general
The T-34E has its use in a more supportive role and looks cool too. But as a medium, speed is life, not Armor. An Aditional thing to note, as of the date of making this guide, you cannot place Bushes/decoration on the cheek plates, which might be important when using it in Realistic.

With that last Statement, I shall be ending my Guide, I bid you farewell, and thank you for reading this first time Guide!
