Oshkosh HEMTT A3 Truck (empty)

Description
NOTE: Update broke radiators, this will overheat and blow up in a few minutes


The HEMTT M978A0 A3 is heavy multi-use transport vehicle produced by Oshkosh Defense since 1982. The A3 variant features a hybrid-electric system.



Features:
-Hybrid-electric drive
-Selectable 8x8
-Ackermann steering
-Outriggers
-Front and rear towing connectors

Feel free to build your own attachments or equipment on top of the chassis. Do ask for permission if you want to upload a variant of it.


How to use:
Turn key to start the engine. Try not to steer while going over >50kmh as you might tip over.

We've got one of these with a set of triple rear axles and it's in the jungle cam (in the desert of course). She's got "Magic Schoolbus" spray painted on the side lol

btw i changed the idle rate to 0.4 so that it would still be able to charge the battery... and also so that it would be fuel effcient when idling...

Yeah i already did, i made some changes to the engine itself and including the motor from keeping it from not going backwards, but it does have a reverse built in now with a extra gearbox for the reverse. also, my version is purely diesel electric. also ima upload it when i get a couple fixes done so that you can be able to see it, also ill link it to u and ill also link/set required item, for this page, and ofc ill give credit. lol

Ooh, yeah that makes sense. And yeah I like to build my land vehicles in a simplified way. No neutral gear, just forwards and backwards with W/S keys. Feel free to change the logic then

also when i mean't auto idle i mean't like a irl vehicle without a person "foot" the gas it just idles lol

well i could make it idle at a higher rpm that i set it at tho, also the modifications that i did to it actually makes it handle a littler better. and i just set it to my standers because im a controller user lol

hmmmm so its a bybrid? well i did some changes on it, and i just found it odd for it just to keep revving at max rpm and i thought it was some weird input mistake or something... and i got a little confused why that was happening, and the reason is because i use a logitech steering wheel so when i didnt have my foot on the gas it just went into reverse... so i changed that...

Auto idle? What would that be. The truck itself is hybrid so it always tries to have the batteries at 100%, basically a generator on wheels. That's why if you drive it hard for a while, the engine will remain revved up for a bit until it recharges its batteries.

k thx my plan was to make this version have a wrecker option for like recovering vehicles and stuff
