Simple Soil (V3, Patched)

Description
An alternative version to the revived one, This one instead adds new defs compaired to the other one that overwrites them that caused an issue that makes your map wealth go crazy high (eg. from 30k to over 800k). This can be added to a save at any time but CANNOT be removed without issues.

About
Revived, Up-to-date version of my old mod that I abandoned; A very basic mod that allows you to build the grounds (Soil,Grass,Gravel,Stone,Mud,Sand, etc), No research required, Same stats as the defaults (Texture, Fertility, Beauty, etc), Can be safely added to a save and removed from a save without any issues. Use this for any needs you may have be-it making your base look nicer, custom farms, realistic scenes, beautiful landscapes and more. Should work on versions prior to 1.0 just fine but designed off and for the 1.0 def code.

WARNING: Placed Ocean water CANNOT be removed.

PS.
I stayed up until 2:20AM getting all this sorted out and working so hopefully no more issues arise.

Updated version to 1.1 and 1.2 here:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2187570377

@Snuggles if you ever want to take over again, let me know. Thanks.

Hello, @Snuggs. Are you thinking about updating to 1.1? Hope you could find time. Nevertheless, thank you. I really enjoyed it.

@Aquiles Righto, I plan to keep the def names the same so if you unsub from this mod and sub to the new one I make, All your maps and worlds will still work just fine.

I plan to increase the cost of the tiles and even make it so they use different materials.

Thank you @Snuggs for the kind answer. I'll let it be then. Right now it works wonders for me. I just wanted to make it more expensive to avoid the temptation of changing most of the map. If you plan to upload a new version somewhere, please leave a comment here! Thanks again

@Aquiles I'm honestly not too sure.

It will most likely mess with map wealth as the game seems to calculate the materials used on tiles for the map wealth

I plan on taking all three of these down and uploading a properly working one that doesn't have nearly as many issues.

Feel free to do what you want with it when it comes to modifying for your own use.

Thank you very much, @Snuggs, for a much needed mod. I am planning to edit the xml file to increase the cost in steel and even add some cost in silver. Would be OK to do that or it will mess up the map wealth?

@groovybluedog
I went through alot of trouble making this and ended up just making a version that adds copies of the default in to prevent wealth issues.

V1 Alters (Breaking the wealth)
V2 Uses scripts thus not breaking wealth but limiting what you can build
V3 Adds copies of the defaults, Working the best out of all.

FINALLY!! I have been looking for a mod that achieves a simple, easy terrain editing with no emitter bullshit or crazy research trees but also not overpowered by being resource free. Buildable Terrain met my needs but then I found the wealth issue, and after a LOT of digging I finally found this and it works fantastically. I could kiss you, thank you!!!

How did you achieve this? I noticed your soil didn't work with Nature is Beautiful so normal soil would be 0 beauty but yours -1 so my guess is you made a soil alternative that acts differently to the original/vanilla soil in some respect?
