Medieval Trade Routes (HIP map)

Description
# MTR - Medieval Trade Routes for Historical Immersion Project Mod

Ever wondered why the trade ends at Middle East and North Africa? Wonder no more. It is known...
Well actually its not. I have no idea either. Was there no trade in Europe in Middle Ages at all?
Yes there was and pretty fruitful as well. So if you were ever frustrated Paradox was to lazy to implement its own trade mechanics to entire map - frustrate no more. This mod is an answer to your prayers for a better trade networks. That is of course if you ever prayed for them.

This mod adds trade routes as well as trade posts in certain provinces to Europe which are based on historical medieval ones. It is intended to work with Historical Immersion Project Mod map and is fully compatible with it.

It is NOT compatible with vanilla or any other map aside for one provided by HIP mod.

Please - even if you use Steam app - download this mod from NexusMods page so I can contribute from my own work. Link at the bottom.

# FEATURING
  • 7 new trade routes across Europe,
  • 1 new trade route in Asia Minor,
  • 129 new trade posts locations,
  • less irritating thin trade arrows also showing trade flow direction,
  • no more sea tiles trade routes clutter as sea zones don't matter in CK2;
  • adjusted vanilla oversized trade posts,
  • option to disable trade post buildings for non-merchant republics (feudal, tribal and theocracy able to build just Trade Posts).

# COMPATIBILITY
Should be compatible with everything that doesn't change trade system and map provided by HIP.
Save game compatible - you do not need to start a new game to use it.
Historical Immersion Project Mod required!
Not compatible with vanilla or any other map aside for HIP one.
For vanilla go to: Vanilla Map Version.

# ACHIEVEMENTS
You won't get achievements using this mod as it works with HIP only and, well, it's a major overhaul.

Thanks for appreciation.
No - I haven't uploaded it - not worth the time.
I do however have a single file that required adjustment.
Just download this file and replace the one in mod's "gfx\coats_of_arms" folder.
This link should expire in 7 days.

I don't know how I was playing with this on before! Amazing.

Not really relevant to this mod in particular but I caught your comment on the 'Radanos' Patrum Scuta+ for HIP' mod about coming up with a fix. Did you happen to upload that anywhere?

@GYA: Thx 4 confirmation. If the trade map looks alright then it works perfectly fine. Enjoy...

Vanilla seems to be working; at least the map makes sense haha

What's SWMH?
Generaloberst Yukari Akiyama Oct 23, 2023 @ 2:08pm
Yeah, sadly I had to cut out SWMH because I wanted to do a Charlemagne run but SWMH removes the earlier start date. I'll let you know when I try vanilla. Thank you!
