I feel that pain, having done retex work with things like vests and uniforms. Vehicles are just a whole other level though, lol.

Appreciate the response and insight, might try that combination approach and see if that works out.

I can't remember exactly but I think I got the files from forums or the samples and just took the layers that had the detail and copied them over one and other to make the detail sharper. its hard process because every vehicle in this game has a different texture layer. Some have dirt layers and reflective layers, some don't. Its not easy working with textures in this game haha, especially with the mohawk which only basically allows you to edit like one side on certain parts and it mirrors the image to the other side. (like the red stripe I put outside the cargo door)

What did you use to develop those textures? I've combed through all the resources available online (BIForums, sample files from TOH, etc) and none of the "templates" I've found have preserved the details like the window edging, light housings, etc etc.

@BillyEatWorld

Honestly, I don't perfer it, especially because this mod is still a WIP and things are subject to change, and if you're taking the texture files out of my mod, you will not be recieving the proper updates to fix things.

HOWEVER, I did allow someone else to use in their campaign so I will allow it ONLY IF the following terms and conditions are met:

You:

- Are granted explicit permission from myself to modify content within the .pbo file.

- Give Proper credits somewhere within your mission.

- Credits and Link to this mod within your workshop page if the workshop file contains my mod..

- Also You will not re-purpose, modify, or re-upload my mod or use it in anyway to make an addon of your own. That includes the .PBO and everything contained inside that .pbo unless you my permission to do so.

Failure to follow these terms and conditions will deny you permission of use.

Thank you. :D

(Also great missions btw, tried it out, enjoyed it)

Hey mate!

Just wondering if I have your permission to use just the texture files in my mission without running the mod itself?

I've developed an open world dynamic mission (Direct Action: Dynamic Missions | Altis) which is designed to run on vanilla public servers. I'm loading custom textures from a texture folder in the mission pbo itself so that players automatically download them when they join the server instead of having to run a mod.

Let me know if that's alright!

I will do my best. I need to upgrade my PC. More ram and storage. If I go SSD or m.2 it will probably be much faster process. Surpisingly the mod files themselves easily hit GB's. I think the "Viggen" type aircraft from the Aircraft DLC with its raw files alone was like 2 GB's or something. Really slowed down my photoshop at times haha. Esp when working with intricate details.

@shadowhunter388 I understand so much, I try the texturing on simple vehicles and it is very difficult, especially since I start with nothing, but I hope that there will be a v2 because the re-texturing and nothing but the small detail melts than the mod and great, I hope it will resume! :steamthumbsup::)

@trigger
Tbh the biggest setback for me was I am not a texture artist, so what I had at the time really held me back from going full potential. Plus I don't remember how to code anymore so making this would take forever. Perhaps if I had some extra help I wouldn't mind. Mainly on the Assembling of Mod and stuff. The texture stuff wouldn't be too bad. I want to say the Gripen plane (I can't remember the arma name for it) is fully finished and is final form. The helicopter was given a update that made it more duller and dirtier and kinda grittier looking and not so cartoony. The only parts to really work on the land vehicles, the propeller plane, and perhaps a redo on some of the land vehicles. I def want to add another vehicle into the collection. This takes a lot of work but the reward of you guys downloading and seeing it on the front page is so damn satisfying. :D

@Trigger Honestly I don't have a deadline. I actually may never. Life has been hectic and I hate to sound like every other mod maker and just up and abandon this project but its so much work. I think though when I do (hopefully if I ever do) I will def pull it all together as a V2.

Hey, there will be a mod that will bring it all together? and where will the new textures be?
