The Kestrel 2.0 is a minimalist's dream: A tiny, inexpensive ship that doesn't skimp on function.

    The ship is fully featured with armor, weapons, cargo space, salvage equipment, and even a rift generator. It only lacks mining and manufacturing equipment and a shield (although if you really wanted to, you could replace one cargo pad with a shield generator). Even without a shield, being a small, speedy target grants the Kestrel better than average survivability. It even features an EMP generator to get missiles off your tail.

    The Kestrel functions well on a single hydrogen generator. Once the batteries have charged for a few minutes, you'll probably forget you even need them unless you're running a full load of heavy cargo. The ship's size makes it very energy-efficient, and it can run on its batteries for some time even after the hydrogen tank runs dry. Even better, an unladen Kestrel only needs 42 Xanthium to rift.

    The Kestrel 2.0 is an excellent go-to any time you need a cheap, fully-functional ship, whether that's at the start of your rifting career or any time thereafter. This may be the most efficient ship you will ever fly.
