Star Wars Force Awakens 4 Panel

Description
This is a Reddit request of a 4 panel Star Wars pic. Original artist can be found here:

https://www.dan-mumford.com/

They wanted each panel to be independently animated, so I'm going to break down everything I did from left to right.

Blue panel:

-Added multiple layers of snow effect and ensured that it did not spill over into the orange panel.
-Glow on the sabers and clothing.

This was by far the simplest panel in terms of animation but it took me a bit to get the effects just right. Turns out, having the snow stay in the blue panel only was a bit trickier than expected but I think it came out rather well.

Orange panel:

-Gave the sun heat rays as this is a desert scene.
-Multiple shine and color effects on key locations.
-Minor animation on the dress.
-Dust rolls across the image, just like the snow from the previous panel, ensured this does not spill into either of the surrounding panels.
-Lights on the downed ship blink on-and-off slowly and in random intervals.

I actually decided to animate the sun last-minute, along with the dust cloud. This was by far the most boring panel, so coming up with what to do was a bit tricky. You may also be wondering why I didn't animate the woman's hair, and that would be because it looked terrible in motion. She's just small enough that she won't animate very well, I was lucky the dress worked at all.

Green panel:

-Each ship bobs up and down (this was a specific Reddit request).
-Water is animated, and yes, even the water below the ship. I made sure, once again, this animation does not spill into any other panel.
-Minor shine effect on key locations.

I had a lot of fun with this panel actually. There was a lot that could be done with it, but sometimes simplicity is the best policy. Out of all the panels, this one is probably my favorite.

Red panel:

-Animated the fire up top, ensuring that no animation bled over and avoided key elements within its own panel (another specific request).
-Minor glow and pulse animation on the flamethrower.
-Minor shine and color effect at key points.
-Animated the cape of the trooper on the far-right. It's pretty subtle, but it is there.

Another panel where simplicity won out. I could have added embers, smoke, etc... but I found it cluttered the image and ruined the effect compared to the other panels. There is an argument to be made that having some additional movement via embers would balance things since the blue panel has the snow, but ultimately I thought it looked a lot better this way. My second favorite panel, if not for the fact that I think I just really nailed the animations.

Preview GIF is a very limited preview, there is so much going on here and the animation is so subtle that it doesn't do the real thing justice. This sentence is included as I always get questions on this.

I hope you all enjoy and please be sure to let me know how I did! :)
