IMPERIVM NON MIHI EST | v.1.1.2

Description
Imperium non mihi est, meaning "The Empire is not Mine", is a mod which allows you to play as a vassal of the Holy Roman , Byzantine or Roman Emperor without fear of being elected as Emperor yourself. This makes it a lot easier to play tall, or roleplay as a loyal vassal for the whole game, should you so wish. You can now also take a similar decision for any kingdom or empire using elective monarchy.

All you need to do is take the decision to refuse your right to be granted Imperium or the Crown, and the electors will no longer consider you as a candidate. If you wish to go back on that decision, you can do that 5 years after you declare that you would no longer like to be considered for election. The decision is no longer available to the AI

The mod adds the exact following features:

- Traits which prevent a character from being elected under Princely and Byzantine (which includes the Roman Empire) succession
- Decisions to accept and remove this trait
- The decision can only take if you are heir or a pretender (2nd/3rd in line to the throne)
- The decision to refuse Imperium in the HRE or a normal realm reduces prestige by 100, but gains you 50 piety
- The decision to refuse Imperium in the Byzantine and Roman Empires reduces prestige by 200, but gains you 100 piety
- There is a 5-year cooldown period between refusing Imperium/ the Crown, and deciding to renounce your refusal. This means that the decision has to be considered seriously if you truly wish to not be included in the election

In future, I may add more to this mod for flavour, but the primary function of the mod is complete and should be working correctly. The AI has not been fully tested regarding how often it takes the decision to remove itself from the election, but the idea is that it will be very rare.

Enjoy!

FAQ:

Is it HIP compatible?

As long as the succession laws which this mod deals with (Imperial Elective, Princely Elective and Elective Monarchy) are left intact and in the game, then there is no reason why it shouldn't work. There could be potential for localisation to overlap and thus cause problems, but if you experience any, let me know and I'll be able to quickly fix it.

@darkemperor Sorry, I don't think I can help with your problem. I will have a look into it, but it most likely will remain an issue. Thank you for your compliment about the mod :)

yes it does always. but whenever i use this mod the exporter takes all the time it needs but never exports the game. but i do like your mod since i sometime just want to play a simple game instead of HIP or CK2 plus

@darkemperor I don't know why this mod would effect exporting to EU4. I don't have EU4 or the converter, so I can't test it, but have you confirmed that it works without this mod? I know the converter's meant to be a bit of a mess.
