What does this mod do?

1)
First off, let me say that the mobility boost that the Berserkers get when their rage ability is triggered, is not of my doing. That is a base game boost that they have always gotten. To better explain for those that have never noticed this... The Berserker has between 14 and 15 Mobility, depending on difficulty level. As soon as they go into rage, their mobility goes up to 21/22. This has not changed. Please do not ask me to change it or ask why i gave them this boost. Again, It is base game.

So what did I change you ask? You can research Overdrive Serum from the Berserker. Which per lore, is created from using the Berserker's adrenal glands. (Per base game) the Overdrive Serum is a 1 time use consumable that grants your soldier the same mobility boost (example you have 12 mobility normally, you'll get a +6 mobility boost for a total of 18 mobility for 2 turns). You also gain 5 armor (per base game) and a complete immunity to all mental statuses, attacks and Psi attacks. This is a VERY strong bonus to have from an Alien that only ever gets the mobility boost. The man I am, I find this to be a bit unfair ;) So the Berserker now gets some more of its own benefits that you enjoy from ITS adrenal glands.

The Berserker may not get the 100% immunity to mental and psi BUT she now gets a 100% boost to her will when her rage is triggered. She normally has a will of 75. So when in rage, she will gain another 75 for a total of 150 Will. IS she going to be immune to mental attacks or mind control/domination? No but it will be A LOT harder to mind control or dominate one when they are raged. So when the Berserker's rage is triggered she will gain the mobility boost and the will boost much like your mobility boost and mental immunity. The Trade off is, while you get these boosts for 2 turns and you are completely immune to mental, she keeps her mobility boost and much higher but not immune will boost for her whole length of being in rage. Berserkers don't normally live long anyway right? So I find that fair ;)

The Overdrive Serum is now NO LONGER a 1 time consumable. SHOCKER RIGHT!? It now can be made and reused like most other items. ONLY... now it is not 35 resources and 1 corpse but 60 resources and 2 Berserker corpses. The 5 armor has been dropped to 2 though. Again... the 5 armor you got was because the devs at Firaxis had to justify it being consumable so made it super strong. Now after you make one, you can keep it and use it on another mission, so making the armor boost only 2 is also fair.

The Berserker now also gains a +2 natural armor bonus. Those of you that have played the Armored Berserker mod that CX created, know that the Armored Berserker has more HP and a lot more armor so its lesser counterpart, in my opinion should have some natural armor. Again, you're gaining armor from the creation of the Overdrive Serum. So why shouldn't they also have this magical armor you seem to get from its biology?

6)
To represent the added armor, the Berserker now also has its melee resistance given back to it that Firaxis cut. Just like the Armored Berserker and Omega Berserker, the base game Berserker now takes less damage if you attack her with melee. Where as the Omega Berserker has a melee resistance of -4 and the Armored Berserker has a melee resistance of -3. The normal Berserker now has a melee resistance of -2. Again, in my opinion this is fair for a beast of an alien that is called a Berserker.



NOTE TO REMEMBER. Because I have altered how the Rage Ability works. ANY other Berserkers that also use the Rage Ability (BioZerkers, ABA Berserkers and so on...) will also now gain the extra will bonus, making them a lot harder to mind control or dominate.

Is panic really not supposed to disable bull rush? That seems odd to me. Unless it makes bull rush attack a random enemy and I'm not noticing. Might be some other mod of course.

AML doesn't say anything but I suspect this mod somehow conflicts with ABA's Berserker Primes. Although, I don't really have a solid basis for this theory.

the Berserker's melee attack was not altered ion any way in this mod.

Every single time a berserker has hit someone now, 4 times, they've knocked them unconcious.
I can't tell if it's my bad luck, or this, but my god man.

My Overdrive Serum is still gone after a use in a Misson, im pretty sure i have no other Mod wich alters them, have you an idea what ti do ?
