Final Edit, March 24th, 2022

[Began competitive Highlander on December, 2016.]

When I had first started, I was very nervous, I began in the lowest division (iron) in UGC with a team who obviously had no clue what they were doing and as I. Thinking that I was the best Heavy to play in that division (considering the stats I had during that time) in an attempt, I decided to head straight into platinum until I was given a brief realization by a friend, so I instead went into a Silver team. During my time with the Mr.Gnu team and the experience that I had just gained from playing scrims and matches... I still had no clue what I was doing. My k/d stats is all what I could think about, telling myself, "If my stats stay positive, then I'll surely become better by playing it safe.". However, by the end of the season, I realized that I had to do more than just playing the game. I began to demo review other heavy mains and checked how they played and where they would position themselves for each map.

As the next season was about to start, the Mr. Gnu team and I placed ourselves into Platinum. Everyone on my team including myself kept an open mind about this being a learning curve, and that we should play to our best ability and not get tilted or angry during the matches. After the season ended, we never won a single match (of course). Never in my life had I felt how useless I was on my team, that I left the team (promising that I would come back, but I never did unfortunately).

For about 3 seasons, I spectated countless matches and scrims with different teams,[teams such as Ascension(UGC) and Home Depot ESports[UGC/RGL] ( I was never able to play, only when it’s an emergency), watching and reviewing demos of many other teams to grasp the meta for every map for every class. Meanwhile I was performing the metas in lobbies and p.u.gs, implementing strategies that other players had done before, while communicating much more often than I use to. When I finally felt prepared, I felt unstoppable, and I started to develop a small ego. I began to get cocky, became reckless, baiting my team, became more lazy and never put effort when I played Heavy. Never do I want to play or act like that ever again. So I stopped slacking off and changed the way I think during games (during all of this I was on an ETF2L Open team and Prolander team [IcyMcSpicy].).

As time passed, a team I was subbing for in Season 1 Highlander RGL, had lost one of the best Heavies (Rue) who sadly didn’t want to play TF2 anymore. With luck, I was offered to play for them, and I accepted.

It was Season 2 of RGL, and I was playing in the Advanced division, implementing every meta and strategy as heavy, and doing my part to keep things rolling as smooth as possible. Everything was great, however, half the time I was never working with my teammates. For so long I had always pressured myself to do things on my own that I’ve forgotten that I have teammates who are there to watch my back and do things that I can’t ever do. So now, I work with my team and never go on my own.

It is now Season 3 of RGL Highlander (6/3/2019) and I had just played my first match with my team ""Impostors"" in Invite division. Of course, we lost (4-2 -Shroom Gang), but it wasn't a complete roll. However we do expect to lose ALOT with the other Invite teams, but it's for our own good. We dont expect to get good after one season, but within time, we'd have established synergy and better team coordination.

***August, 2019 - May 2020, subbed for the seasons. However, I played Prolander with Impastas to get my gears running once again for season 6 highlander.***

June 2020, came back on Heavy once again for season 6 on Impostors. It went great for the most part, placing 4th for the season.

September 2020, I am once again subbing for Impostors for Season 7, mainly focusing on work and playing other games, etc etc [screw covid].
