Description
Large open map where CTs choose insertion points. Ts needs to prepare for an assault from any angle and guard the hostage closely

Basically the map that hugely redifinited the gameplay of the game.
And yet, they decided to remove ot from competitive for some reason. Seriously, are people designed to make bad decisions or what ?

I very much like insertion (i am a swede so i love it) but even if i don't like the fog at times, i still want it as it is one of the main obstacles in this map, sure the ct's take good advantage of this, but that doesn't mean terrorist can't take advantage of it too. Although it is very reckless, you on T-side can go into the lake/sea and hide, you can also hide in the fenced in area if you can reach it, without the fog, these hiding spots would be useless. But the problem people talk about in this map is the fog as it can lower framerate on lower end PC's, but that doesn't mean it should have the fog removed. If your PC can't handle the fog, put the game on a lower graphics setting or find an insertion map without the fog. (like a clear day version, different weathers might be better) The fog is crucial to set the setting for the map and it would make me sad to see it gone.

I'd say you're wrong about the complete lack of cover though, as there's nothing preventing terrorists from going outside and establishing a position, for example, watching the hostages from behind a rock on a hill with rifles... after all, the unconventional map design puts an emphasis on teamwork and unconventional, or at least adaptable tactics rather than the usual camping on hostages/bombsites. Still, for the people who do like to do things that way, I would like to see buildings be a bit more solid in certain places, so that not every predictable camping spot or retreat is easily wallbangable from outside.

I can see why the lag the fog causes could be a problem for lower-end PCs, and I do agree that getting shot from seemingly nowhere when you think you're in cover as a T is honestly infuriating, though that's more my fault as a low-skilled player, and really, I could see anybody shooting at me as well as they could see me. I guess it might be different for different graphics options though, which would indeed be a huge balancing issue that seriously needs addressing.
thats why it sucks. the fog. it causes lag, and the ct are litterally invisible. theres no cover for the T side unless they wanna hide in tiny ass corners
