Description
Kel'Thuzad was once a human mage and a member of the Council of Six - the high council of the Kirin Tor, the ruling masters of the magocracy of Dalaran. His interests in the dark arts were piqued during the Old Horde's invasion of Azeroth and started tapping into dangerous knowledge such as necromancy. When Archmage Antonidas discovered this, Kel'Thuzad was stripped of rank and property and exiled from Dalaran and Lordaeron in order to preserve the safety and reputation of the city-state.

When the original Lich King Ner'zhul was planted into Icecrown, he sent mental summons to powerful individuals. Kel'Thuzad was one of the first to heed the call, and ventured to Northrend. He met with Anub'arak and was promised great power, and given a tour of the dread citadel of Naxxramas. Horrified by what he saw, he attempted to escape, but was surrounded by wraiths and brought back inside, forced to see all the Scourge had to offer. Eventually, he stepped foot into Icecrown itself, prostrating himself before the Frozen Throne. He was commanded to return to the land of men and found a new religion to worship the Lich King as a god.

Thus, the Cult of the Damned was born, with Kel'Thuzad at the lead. To those with wealth and power, he promised immortality. To the poor and disenfranchised, he promised equality for all. None were lies, technically: all were immortal and equal in undeath. The Cult of the Damned grew in numbers. He set up the creation of the plague of undeath in the newly-created Scholomance in Caer Darrow, and once it was potent enough, he unleashed it through grain distributed throughout Lordaeron.

The Prince of Lordaeron, Arthas, discovered Kel'Thuzad's schemes, and eventually slew him... but that was not the end. Arthas' tale is long and famous, and after he fell he eventually returned to Lordaeron as a Death Knight. Kel'Thuzad showed up to him in a ghostly form, and greatly assisted the Dark Prince in service to the Lich King. He was eventually brought to the Sunwell of Quel'Thalas, where its vast magical properties allowed him to resurrect as a powerful lich.

Time went further on, and Kel'Thuzad proved to be Arthas' greatest ally at every turn. Eventually, Arthas became the new Lich King, and Kel'Thuzad his right hand man. Now, Kel'Thuzad stands in the deepest reaches of the citadel of Naxxramas, plotting the Scourge's next move for the invasion to spread undeath across all of Azeroth.

Recorded in World of Warcraft at 30 FPS and optimized to keep filesize reasonably low.

My thanks to Rucus, without him this footage wouldn't be possible! Let's enjoy World of Warcraft Classic!
