ATLAS-Heavy Duty Crane Barge (outdated, see link for new version)

Description
NEW RELEASE: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2225966648

NOTE: This vessel is under constant development and new features and improvements will come.

This is the ATLAS-Heavy Duty Crane Barge. This floating heavy lifter can lift, raise and transport medium sized vessels.

This vessel is diesel electric and features 4 diesel engines driving 8 generators giving power to 4 large batteries and 2 large electric motors.

It is equipped with all gauges and meters needed to adjust electrical production level for achieving maximum range and operating time.

For long stand still periods such as when lifting or raising a sunken ship it is recommended to shut down at least two diesel engines to preserve fuel, keep an eye on the electrical consumption to adjust RPM for not draining the batteries.

The AUX Diesel engine is capable of supporting the vessel with the most basic functions operating.

Starting from engine room:

Breakers ON
Diesel throttles MAX
Fuel pumps ON
Coolant pumps ON
Ignition
Generator clutches FULL

Sailing:

The Vessels diesel engines, electrical engines and propeller clutches can all be operated from the engine room. The bridge has control over the electrical engines and the propeller clutches as well.

At the Bridge you find the helm complete with instructions for bow/stern thrusters

Crane Operation:

Extend the crane:

Extend boom ON
Extend boom winch ON

When fully extended turn off "Extend boom winch" but leave "Extend boom ON"

Use "Raise boom" to raise the boom to desired height

(Depending on the weight of the object you are planning to lift it is necessary to not fully extend the boom to adjust center of gravity. The boom can be stopped at any given position by toggling Boom extend & Boom retract simultaneously.

The standard lifting bar is equipped with 6 small connectors and 1 large connector. There is also a mag all accessory bar which can be attached if necessary.

Lifting:

Lower the lift bar bu using "Winch down" and activate the connectors
When the connectors are attached the crane is ready to lift. Start by using the "Winch up" button.
When the winch lines are straight and have taken on load you need to stop the winch and use "Raise Boom" to tighten the rear boom support cables. Do this accordingly when needed. Lifting heavy loads is a mix of both using the winch and the "raise boom"

Depending on the load being lifted the center of gravity will shift forward. Use the ballast weights to shift the center of gravity aft.

The ballast controls are located in the bridge facing the stern.

They are:

2 aft sliding weights at either side of the barge and one aft sliding weight in the middle

To stop either of those in any position toggle abow & astern simultaneously.

There are also 4 ballast tanks available if the sliding weights shows not to be enough.
Filling all four of them might result in lateral instability.

ROV:

This vessel is equipped with a rov submersible, deployed from the deck using the crane. The ROV control room is located below deck in the bow section.

I might do a tutorial video if necessary, this is still a WIP project and features are not done fully done yet and will change for the better. Drop a comment with features you like to see added or changed.
