Half-Life 2 : Echoes of the Resonance Cascade

Following The Black Mesa Incident, Earth has suffered a defeat from interdimensional empire known as the Universal Union (also called 'the Combine') and Humanity's remains are scattered across the locations under it's control - where they reside as the Citizens, or either take refugee to join the Resistance.

Outside the Combine-controlled cities is where the Wasteland begins. Inhabited by invasive alien wildlife from Xen that immigrated Earth thanks to Portal Storms caused by the previous incident, it is an unforgiving place where the danger emerges not only from predators but also from the Combine Overwatch protecting the Empire's strategic sites or looking to suppress any resistance formations. The Wasteland is merely a shadow of the former Earth drained of it's resources and exploited to fuel the Empire's ambitions.




The most oppressed class on Earth. Enslaved by The Combine after the swift victory during the Seven Hour War. Some take the role as refugees to aid anyone attempting to escape or as lightly armed militia.


As a well organized network, the Resistance comprise of humans with the aim of defeating the Combine, utilizing their technology.


Working for The Combine, humans volunteer to act as a police force in the cities in exchange for better living conditions as they enforce the Combine's authority over cities.


This is the main ground force of The Combine. They're different from Civil Protection because of modifications with Combine technology, providing them with augmented combat abilities and memory replacement. They serve and fulfil different roles spanning from guarding prisons to operating in critical combat missions.


The Combine have previously conquered planets and made use of the alien species living there by transforming them into bio-mechanical war machines, serving under Combine rule at their disposal.

Currently contains weapons, objects, uniforms, custom heads, and vehicles
