Beecher Sound

Description
Beecher Sound is a temperate river/estuary map designed for high playability. There's lots of flat, open build plain, plus a couple of islands and some gently elevated areas to add more regional variation.

FEATURES
- Several spaces created specifically for industrial expansion.
- A couple of small islands ideal for prisons, noisy leisure zones etc.
- A water drain by the riverbank in one of the estuary mouths, to help you get rid of sewage fairly tidily (best approach is to place outlets towards that side of the water).

CONNECTIONS
Play-tested to 25k pop. with no issues (see last couple of screenshots).
Road, train, ship and plane connections are all working well in my savegame:
Road - 3/4
Train - 3/4
Ship - 2/4
Plane - 3/4

REQUIRED ITEMS
- A longer list than usual for me, because I've attempted a more 'open'-feeling forest style that relies on small bushes, grasses and ground shrubs rather than tons of densely packed trees. They're all low-tri/low-poly assets (thanks Pdelmo!), and run far better than vanilla trees on my mid-tier PC (Ryzen 5, GTX 1060).
- You only need Parklife DLC for the one footpath I've placed (shown in the map workshop thumbnail). Everything else should work fine without it, and you can just add in your own base game footpath later.
- Rural Utility Line is only required for the single wind turbine I've placed. If you don't want to use it, you don't need the utility line; the turbine just won't send power to the start square.
- I used SCT-HOMECOMING theme by Raffa. Screenshot LUT is Flat and Natural by InamuraJane, but of course use whatever works for you.
- The large highway interchange isn't a required asset, as it's kapustor666's Vanilla Pinavia (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1549007985). All credit to them for that.

INFRASTRUCTURE
There's a *small* amount of prebuilt road infrastructure in place, but this can absolutely be bulldozed if you prefer. What little there is, I've included in the base map to:

- help border off a couple of fields and natural resource areas
- open up both riverbanks in the start square
- create a logical airport/transit hub space (over by the railyard)
- give access to one or two spots that might be awkward for new builders

...but just delete the lot if you'd rather, there's not much and it won't take a second! :)

Have fun, and happy building!
