Real Era Tracker (UI)

Works with September Patch.

Shows a list of historic moments not yet earned. If you are short of few points to get the Golden Age or not fall into the Dark Age this mod will help you find the possible sources of those points.

Requires Rise & Fall or Gathering Storm.

How does it work
All possible historic moments are grouped into 3 categories:
- World - "be the first in the world",
- Civilization - do something for the first time,
- Repeatable - moments that can be triggered more than once.
The mod analyzes the timeline of earned historic moments and "checks" the earned ones.
There is a filter active by default "hide already triggered", thus by default the window will show those that still can be earned.

- Various info like Turn when the moment was earned, a counter for Repeatable moments, tooltips.
- Filters for Era Score = 1, 2, 3, 4+.
- Some moments are valid only for some eras, you can filter out those not available.
- Moments can be set as Favored and will be always visible and listed at the top. Favored moments are remembered when the game is reloaded.
- Information about turns till next era and thresholds for Dark and Golden ages.
- Support for Taj Mahal. The icon will appear if it is built and era scores will be adjusted accordingly.
- Some moments are automatically checked as "invalid" (red cross). It means that either some other civ earned them or you earned the "world" moment thus invalidating the "civilization" moment.
- No cheating policy. The game doesn't provide any direct information about moments earned by other players, and so RET doesn't neither. "Invalidation" from the previous point will trigger only when you will earn the appropriate "civilization" moment thus learning that someone else must have earned the "world" moment. Until then, the "world" moment will be shown as available.
- But if you really want to take a peek at how others are doing... there's an option in the .sql file.
- The Extra column is not used as of now. The tooltip shows debug info.

This is another fantastic mod! So helpful for planning out your Era score game

Shoots.. it's really sad. Time to just manually keep track of my preferences then. I think other "parsing" tricks could have been a solution.. but, i'm fairly sure it would be much too complex to re-organize the default A/Z steps in sub-categories.
Good to know anyway, TY!

@zyxpsilon Not other games, only the current one. Mods cannot save the data across the games.

REF/Quote == Moments can be set as Favored and will be always visible and listed at the top. Favored moments are remembered when the game is reloaded.

Would this mean that *IF* we check-mark/select specific items.. they should "return" as still favored on other games even when we start completely new?? Cuz, IMHO.. that's exactly what 'tracking' most stuff is all about -- by being persistent throughout familiar contexts & planned pattern of acquisition.
Comes a point where & when some Era patterns can favorably stack the balanced points according to predictable availability of anything to make our quest(s) most optimal.

Variable Time-Line "pace" included -- in/from any gameplay sessions! ;)

I mean, no direct information.

@maxheadroom There is no information in the game that links moments to techs/ civics.

Heh, true. But I'm talking about era order. Most things require hitting a particular tech/culture, so if they were put in order of their prerequisites, it would tend to group stuff together. For the repeatable stuff, this is mostly(?) irrelevant, but for world & civ, I for one would find it very useful.

Whether this idea interests you or not, I do appreciate all the work you've put into the mod. And putting everything in a loose order seems like a pile of work, too! Honestly, I was kinda expecting to hear it was on your to-do list, but was a slog you just hadn't gotten around to.

@maxheadroom You already have a past in the form of the time line which is chronological. This mod focuses on the future, helping find moments not yet triggered. Obviously, they cannot be chronological because well... they have not yet been triggered.

What're the chances this could be put into approximately chronological order? I honestly don't understand how this is supposed to be used otherwise.
