Description
"The Shard was constructed in 2012 by architect J.C. Thomas." - Mirror's Edge Wiki, 25.03.2019

Description
Unique building. It has massively increased stats, but to compensate, balanced waste.
It is a level 6, always unlocked building.

Yes, we have the Original Mirror's Edge Shard, but is the recreation of the Mirror's Edge: Catalyst Shard possible? I imagine it'd be one of the biggest modded structures in the Workshop, if it were built to a 1:1 scale.

I've always admired this building, I was trying to create The Shard since last May, but failed to do so since I had little to no experience. I am so happy that someone as talented as you are created this, my city is now complete, thank you.

In addition to the lighting: According to the wiki page the reason behind the Shard's tinted windows is, that the building is supposed to render nearly invisible at day and night, as it has a hue close to the color of the sky.

About the illumination map: I didn't feature one, as the Shard in Mirror's Edge doesn't have illuminated windows at night. From studying the facade material it appears to have a layer of darkened glass, which doesn't let any light out. Since it's a government building and according to the game hosts all city surveillance, it makes sense to have tinted windows.

I chose the MM/DD/YY format sicne I figured that a lot of steam users and skylines players are American :D

I think its very acurate to what we see in the game.

Does it not have an illumination map?
