Non-Competitive Germany in Hearts of Iron IV: Man The Guns.

Do not follow this, if you are playing competitive, because mediums and mw will only work against noobs in patch 1.6.2.

I personally do not play like this and adapt to new strategies, so basically follow it if you play on Semi-All-Welcome discord (ie. dankus/horst) :-).

Team Germany aka AXIS

Your Team is usually Italy + Hungary + Romania + Bulgaria + Spain + Japan:

Italy: Italy always want to "I make big Italy" or "I make big navy". Tell him fortress Italy, fighter 1+2 spam, mass mob doctrine (reinforce rate!) and infantry spam + some AA as support equipment if you want to win against any real DDAY invasion. Do not let him make a navy, but insist that he is rushing Submarine III (and one without Schnorchel) so that you can produce/research it and he should also spam produce Submarines III with Schnorchel I for the glorious Italian submarine raids around Singapore.

If the Italian player doesn't know how to take Yugo and Greece at the same time without UK guaranteeing it, request the host to have Italy replaced with somebody else. Don't forget to ask Italy every 30 minutes on how many mils he has on fighters, if its less than 80% of his mils, try to persuade him into putting more on fighters. If Italy wants to make Heavy Tanks and Superior Firepower, it might be that he is total noob or total pro. The only way to find out is to know when he will start producing them, if its before 1940, noob confirmed. Don't let him scrutinize the fighter production before reaching at least 15k planes.

Hungary/Romania: Hungary should be the Aircontrol regardless of "Romania has more oil" blabla. Hungary can focus on building some silos and produce a lot of CAS. He should have 2500 CAS at the beginning of the WWII otherwise you know he produced GUN1 or ART1. If Hungary wants to make Tanks, ask him who is going to make CAS (yes, I know CAS is IC nightmare but you still fking need it) and if Axis needs a ♥♥♥♥ Hungarian General with lvl 3 attack on some heavy2 tanks which increase supply usage in the regions where no supply is. Also, ask him, where all the fuel goes to if Romania has only capactiy of 400k and is on "FULL" the entire game. And, dont forget to ask who gives Germany 200-400k emergency fuel if something goes wrong. This means, Romania has to build silos until he reaches capacity of 1 - 1.5 million. Another good reason, you can tighten up the Fighter usage, because if Hungary doesnt have fuel, he cant waste fighters by "I am trading good, 10:15".

Bulgaria: Rocket Motorized or basically, dont care about the Bulgarian player because 99% he will leave around 1938.

Spain: You will only see if Spain player sucks if its too late but you can ask the Spain player before the game starts when he wants to finish the war. If he says "early to get industry" you already know you cant upgrade your tanks correctly. In this case, make sure to let the Soviet push a bit, so the Spain player is occupied and his dreams of cucking Germany come to an early end. Make sure to get the most army XP and air xp by sending equipment to both nations and ask your team to do the same. Most of the time, the Japanese and Italian player think Spain is the place for them to grind (instead of Ethiopia, Yugo, Greece, China) and will try to steal the good spots and just let you handle the Soviet push alone while they are grinding. Dont forget to ask Spain every 5 minutes if he is AFK, otherwise he might lose his concentration. After 2 years of grinding, try to kill the REP Spain without encircling, so you even get more XP. XP = Everything. In most rulesets, Spain can only send Volunteers but the Spain players usually are like "I make big army", persuade them to send you all the equipment they dont need.

Japan: Japan is a bit like Germany but much smaller, he feels normally like the big guy in town, thus, he wont really support you unless you are approaching him at eye level (be diplomatic) and then he can really help you by going free trade (for the tungsten and tradebacks) and allowing Manchuko to take the tungsten provinces in China after China is (hopefully) dead. Then, you will have a less problematic Tungsten problem and can produce tanks even while you are not getting any from Portugal.
Germoney Production

The Creation of the World Power Germany

In the beginning you should put at least 16-20 mils on Fighter1. 2-3 Tac Bombers to bomb the UK a bit and especially to bomb the infrastructure in Soviet. Do not delete the light tank 2, instead keep producing it with 1 mil or even 2 mils because it is very helpful as fillup for your medium tank division.

The goal is to get around 12-15k plane early 1940 if you have a "no air" Soviet which will be the case normally. In the rare case that Soviet has an airfoce, you should get to 16-18k planes by 1941. Never let your Aircontroller waste your planes by just trading them, because the allies have 20-30k planes and you will NEVER reach the same production level without decreasing something else, ie tanks. Instead, save them for some rare bombing events over Europe and of course as the real purpose, the dday defense.

The way to achieve it is to put the first new mils you get on fighters until you have around 40-50 mils on it. Keep producing fighter 1 until france has fallen and replace it with 10-15 mils on fighter 2. Why not more fighter 2 and earlier you ask? You have fighter2 by early/mid 1939 and cannot get any effiency on it while you spamming out upgraded fighter 1. Make sure that Italy has 40-50 mils on fighter 2 by early/mid 1940. Don't let Italy tell you that the 10-15 mils you have on fighter 2 is too less because....

... you are Germany and are a proud nation of tanks. You can have easily 10x 40 width tanks at the time of France and if you have less than 40x 40 width pure medium tank division at the time of Barbarossa (June 1941) you are doing Germany wrong. Easy way to do it: After you have put 40-50 mils on fighters, put 3 mils on AA, some mils on motorized/support and then the next 45 mils on at least gun5 upgraded medium 2 tanks. Buy all the resources you need and even dont hesitate to buy from Soviet at the time you dont get tungsten but most of the time make sure that you can buy tungsten from Manchuko. After France has fallen, put 150 mils on mediums2, 15-25 on medium2TDs, 25-30 on motorized. Increase the light tank 2 production, so you can keep 10 tank division in normandy, ie. replace some of the mediums in the template with light tanks.
World Tension Management

Manage it or give away everything

You should always try to manage the world tension as harsh as possible. If you can avoid Rheinland until somewhere in end 1937, do not take it as first focus and try to keep it as low as possible (easy said, right). Milestones are: 5% (Shadow Scheme), 10% (General Rearmament), 20% (some ally minor focus unlocked), 25% (UK can guarantee), 40% (some important focus unlocked). If you must take it in 1936 or mid 1937, pick Rhieinland as first focus.

If you take Rheinland first, you will create 5% WT and usually the Civil war hits off and WT will be at 7% at the mid/end of 1936, UK takes his Shadow Scheme (which isn't the real problem), Italy will do his Yugoslavia claims in early/mid 37 and the chances are very high you will allow UK to get General Rearmament. To reduce the problem, tell Italy that he must postpone his "Yugo Claim" focus which gives 4% WT to around April 1937, so that you can stay under 10% WT. However, Italy will cry about his Yugoslavia war and he needs 120 days to justify... try to scream at him that he shouldn't do it until at least October 1937. Under no circumstances allow Hungary to take his 1% WT focus before YUGO/GREECE has been taken.

If you are allowed to take Rheinland first in end of 1937, you have time to relax, hope for early Spain civil war, tell Italy to do his Yugo claims after you have hit 1.2% WT and let him justify against Yugo in September 1937.
Army XP = Everything

Train hard

You should at least have 250 army XP at March 1939. If you don't have that number, something went wrong earlier, ie. Spain ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and lost or didn't let you grind, you didn't send attaches to Spain/Japan, etc. Don't spend it on any division templates before you havent at least gun5/rel1 medium 2 + gun5 medium tank destroyer 2 + Ostwin AA attack 2. If you dont have enough XP, spend at least some of the XP for your tank division so that it has at least 30 width (4x 30 = 120 width, you know). XP = Everything, because you need it for Tank upgrades, Division upgrades, faster land doctrine research.
Superior Firepower vs Mobile Warfare

Dont let them fool you

Both doctrines are viable for a tank nation. But for Germany it was and it is Mobile Warfare. The argument for taking SF as Germany is that you only need 30 org and max. 1000 breakthrough and Hard Attack is everything and of course that you have a lot more tanks. Wrong. So wrong in every aspect. ORG actually means how long your tanks are in the battle. The more org, the longer they can stay in the battle. It's really so simple. What about Breakthrough then? Yeah, imagine you are facing a heavy2 SF Soviet. So, he will have a HA of 700 on base value + the modifiers and stackings that it will be like 1500 HA or even more. But you will just laugh at him because your defense while attacking is also 1500 or even more. Ooooooh, but my MW tanks have only 400 HA base and blablabla.... while you are talking the Soviet SF tank with 27 org has already been deorged and pushed out of the tile by your 45-50 org tanks. Ok, but as SF Germany I have a lot more tanks, right? This is not because of SF. It is because you didnt do your template correctly. If you use the same amount of motorized you would use in SF tanks, you have the same amount (obviously).
Tank Division Templates

Better to have a lot of Tanks

For France you should have at least 8-10x 40 width tanks. Division consists of 4 light tanks + 6-7 motorized + 2 SpAA and the rest mediums if France hasnt researched Heavies2. If France has Heavies2 add 1x gun5 medium2TD. Always remove all Support Equipment except Signal + Logistics. Against a "no air" Soviet, use minimum 7 motorized + 11-13 mediums + 1-2 TD. If the Soviet uses heavies, put at least 3 medium2 TD in the template from the beginning. If you cannot pierce the Soviet, try to remove Support Companies, remove a motorized or/and add more Tank Destroyers, however at the beginning of barbarossa you should try to encircle him instead of pierce anyway and the piercing is just a problem at the "Stalin river line".
How to Break the Stalin Line?

It is so easy to break it, you will see

First of all, you have to upgrade your supply routes (aka infrastructure) leading to the river line so you dont have a "bottleneck". If you check your supply, you will see where the bottleneck is, fix it. LVL 10 around Brandenburg also helps a lot.

Speed is key, try not to encircle the Soviet division in front of the river line in the beginning, instead, try to push North and South directly to the river and attack the river at the tiles where it has plain tiles across the river. While you are doing it, encircle units that are still standing before the river line. The more your main force comes closer, the more you attack, try to attack at 8-10 locations with your tanks + inf at the same time, never stop and dont mind that all battles are "red", ie that you are not winning. Its all about reinforce rate = if Soviet is not reinforcing = gg.

Give Italy some exp. forces because his general might have lvl 8 attack or more and he will show you his superior mircoing (which is based on stacking and general modifiers not on skill, but let him believe it anyway because he can help you). Also, tell your Aircontrol to bomb the infrastructure, escpecially around Moscow.
North Africa Campaign
Never, just never do it

Do not do it or wait... if you want to lose all the navy you have and around 5k planes which you cannot replace and 3k tanks to attrition and SA heavies, go for it. And... of course, if you cannot take it after all, because you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somewhere, you are going to lose everything you have, get encircled and what not. And... after you have sucessfully taken it, what will happen to North Africa if you and your tanks are in Barbarossa?
No Air Axis

Dumb, dumber, no air axis

It is useless because it works only against noob unorganized allies. If UK + France decide to spam out mils early and producing Heavy2 Tanks + Heavy2 Tank Destroyers, while all Allies are boosting UK/FR instead of Soviet, you will not be able to break France. Additionally to that, in some rulesets USA is allowed to lendlease the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Allies before France has fallen and in that case, you will be capitulated before Poland has fallen. Yes, I know AA is op and especially CAS is IC nightmare, but you still fking need it.

It reads pretty interesting and I enjoy the effort you put into. But to me it seems like this plan is barely functional, as it is based on talking other people into something aka forcing a game play ideal on them. I wouldn't do that to friends and I am fairly certain some random players won't accept someone telling them to concentrate on a thing, if they are not down with it.
In conclusion: This complete plan needs a lot of luck, and if you need luck to make a plan successful, you should re-plan.
