After the launch of the NX-01 construction of the NX-02 and 03 were planned. Learning from the NX-01's two year mission the NX Phase 2 ships were built, the columbia was under construction during the xindi incident and the enterprise was the only ship fast enough to respond. a year after the incident the columbia was finished. again, two years of preformence testing for the columbia before plans for phase 3 and the plans for NX-03 to 09. Phase 2 would only see the NX-03 and 04 as the UESN asked for four NX class ships. The Enterprise, Columbia and Challanger were temperaroly put under UESN command during the earth romulan war. The Discovery NX-04 lead the UESPA's four Ganges classes and the Intrepid in defending the sol system. The Phase 2 NX was re hulled with polarized hull opposed to fitted plates, Photonic torpedos replaced spatial torpedos and sensors were improved
