Description
Map Pack Germany: Rheinland-Pfalz is the 9th Map Pack that i have created. After a brake of like half a year i return to Transport Fever to bring you all another edition of my quest to make maps of all the states of Germany. This time the focus is the state of Rheinland-Pfalz in the west of Germany. The state borders France, Belgium and Luxemburg, and some border areas also are featured in this map map.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup of the Map Pack:

When i started making this Map Pack i noticed there are a number of smaller railways in this state. I decided to make this the focus of this map pack. I have gotten lots of comments on my map packs of people complaining the insane size of my maps make them unplayable for a lot of people, and while i still want to make 6k maps, i also wanted this map pack to include some maps that are palyable for everyone. The smaller railways made it possible to keep the size down for a number of the maps in this map pack.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Discription of all the 9 maps in this Map Pack:

Main Map: This map is the largest one. It includes all of the state Rheinland-Pfalz and some bordering areas, including some of the Ruhr area, the east side of the Rhine, part of the Sauerland, and the border of France, Luxemburg and Belgium (and 1 city in the Netherlands). Now i hear all of you say: WHY IS THERE NO RHINE IN MY RHEINLAND??? Well, i tried. It wasn't possible. The size of the area, combined with the height difference made it impossible to fit any river into this map without insane cliffs on the river side.

Experimental Mapsize needed: Yes
Map size: 5633x5889
Number of cities: 235
Height Range: 100 - 350

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahrtalbahn and Kasbachtalbahn: Large map size map focusing on 2 smaller railways in the north of the state. The Ahrtalbahn is a line that snakes through a valley. Rail services end in Bonn, in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen, which i also included in this map. The Kasbachtalbahn is a railway no longer in service. Most of the the railway has been abandoned for years. A small part of it (all of the line that is featured on this map) is still being used for a heritage railway.

Experimental Mapsize needed: No
Map size: 3585x3585
Number of cities: 75
Height Range: 97-350

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alzey Monsheim Kirchheimbolanden: smaller map focussing on a triangle of railways between the 3 cities in the title. Or at least a former triangle. while all 3 cities are connected to eachother, the triangle was broken in WW2 because a brigde was blown up. if you want to go from Monsheim to Kirchheimbolanden you need the travel through Alzey. All railways on the map are still used today.

Experimental Mapsize needed: No
Map size: 2049x2049
Number of cities: 22
Height Range: 100-300

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bad Bergzabern Winden Wissembourg: Smaller map focussing on a branchling between Bad Bergzabern and Winden. It also includes the main railway between Rohrbach through winden to Wissembourg in France. There used to be another branchline between Rohrbach and Klingenmünster, but that line was closed in 1968.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Robert Montjoy yes the industry is random on these maps. i never place industry myself in my mods. I think it costs way too much time to do the proper research to find out what industry really exists in an area.

Frage:
Wieso hast Du Obermoschel 2x aufgenommen?

Robert

@Tornado look at the comment from Castro. i tried loading the main map myself with 300 + modsactive and it succesfully loaded, although it indeed took over 15 minutes.

Awesome Maps for sure. Much appreciated.
Love the large main map.
first load can take up 20 or so minutes without the game responding but its worth the waiting.
Nevertheless extraordinary work. :steamhappy:
