Description
Simple Carry Weight Increase
We gave the main characters a lil bit of weight-lifting training. They lift 200kg now.

Summary
A stand alone version of the carry weight increase found in my other mod, Cap Tweaks. This mod simply adjusts the default carry weight of 100 to 200.

Want to support the creator?
If you'd like to contact me for something, or otherwise keep up with me outside of Steam, you can typically find most of what I'm up to lately through my Carrd page.[fjarunsigr.carrd.co] Following on any of the platforms in my Carrd would be appreciated, and they're a bit more reliable to contact me through than Steam is.

How can I get help?
If you need help quickly, try contacting me on my Twitter. If you just want to tell me about a potential issue, feel free to use the Steam comments - just be aware that these are slower as the notifications are largely useless.

Do not try to create mod page discussions for help at all. They are by far the worst method, as there is no notification for when one is started whatsoever.

If and when I start actively modding again, I will see what I can do to offer alternative download options. For the moment, this is offered as-is.

I'm out of ideas for possible cause then. Just for sake of clarity as your responses have been slightly vague on it: If you have had mods previously and have since uninstalled them they might be responsible, hence the file verify advice.

This occurs if mods aren't properly uninstalled, or an installer messes up some way etc it can leave some old files behind which mean that the game is using them rather than the current game version files, which is often what introduces small issues.

If you haven't had any mods at all previously then yeah, no idea what the cause is at that stage.

It might be worth trying to go game library > divinity, right click on it > properties, > local files > verify game files or whatever the option is called.

If it's an issue with base game files getting corrupted that should solve it. Similarly if you've had large scale mods such as reworks or overhauls that didn't uninstall properly it should fix issues caused by any of those too.

Otherwise not sure of the cause.

Are you using any Larian Gift bag content, or perhaps have you used large scale mods before?
It shouldn't be an effect from a mod like this which is why I'm confused.

There are a lot of potential things in the file used, but only one line is edited with this I believe. And if it were mod file corruption, considering the file used governs many player stats, it would likely be much more noticeable.

Additionally I don't even think the effects of attributes are governed by that single file anyway, so I'm not sure how it'd be interacting with that value either.

That would definitely be unintended if so, though given the lack of game updates lately if it were bugged it should have been for a while and I'd expect more reports by now if it were.

Do you have any other mods running @ the same time?

There are larger iterations of this mod in the collection page at the top if you'd like a stronger version too as a heads up

Simple and awesome mod that doesn't detract from the gameplay experience.

If there was something in the game with negative carry weight to model it off, possibly - but I'm not aware of anything like that sadly.

If you just want to avoid carry weight forever I do have some other mods that give frankly stupid amounts of it.

Hmm I wonder, is it possible to make bags that has 'negative' carry weight so it negates the weight of what it's worth inside it?

Haven't played this in a long time now. I just put up with it in the end.

Bit of a late response for Slug there, but if anyone else wants a 1000 carry weight mod now, check my workshop.
