By Driver2900
Have you ever heard of ________? this is a question I ask (or want to ask) To every person currently playing the game. This is a list of all the tanks no one seems to talk about. I cant promise the tanks on the list will be good, but they will be interesting and obscure.

Introduction: The guide inside of the guide
The purpose of this guide is to showcase the lesser used or known tanks, these may not be good, but in my mind deserve more publicity for what they are.

DISCLAIMER
One thing to keep in mind is that this is my opinion, I haven't gotten past 7.0 in the Japanese tree, have around 3.3 in almost every tree, and haven't even touched the German tree. So, this will mainly be based off of what I've seen in games (for use) and on reddit (for talk). Tell me in the comments if you have any disagreement and I might change rating or kick it of the list entirely.

Lasty, before we get into this guide, its least underrated to most, and there are 3 tiers of relevance here's what each tier means:
"Underrated" The tank is known, but either not used or talked about enough.
"Obscure" The tank is kind of heard of, but is barley used or talked about.
"Unknown" The tank doesn't exist to most players, almost no one talks about or sees it.
The M6A1: The good Jumbo
Class: Underrated
This is possibly the most known tank on the list. You may think it doesn't desserve to be on the list, and you would be right if it wasn't for the jumbo sherman (M4A3E2). This tank is used alot, but since the Jumbo is overpowered not many people talk about it.
Pros
- 3 50.cal machine guns.
- 2 good cannons.
- great armor.
- looks awesome.
Cons
- a bit slow.
- armor might be hard to angle.
- a bit fat.
The Sturer Emil: more Dicker than the Dicker Max
Class: Underrated
Having never played this, and my possible confusion with it and the Dicker Max, im hesitant to place this on the list. The only reason I feel like no one talks about the Sturer Emil is because it doesn't have the funny name.
Pros
- BIG GUN
- good penetration
- a almost 4KG HE shell
- gray camo
- 5 crew well spaced
Cons
- way to slow
- increadably underarmored
The Churchill Mk1: 2 Pounds is all you need
Class: Underrated
I haven't seen this in the wild nor have seen discussion about it. The only reason its underrated is because i'm willing to bet everyone knows the improved Mk3 and Mk7 versions.
Pros
- the armor is godly.
- you can slope as much as you want with the huge tracks.
- hull mounted smoke slinger.
- has a quick firing 2pdr.
Cons
- very slow.
- the gun main cannon is underwhelming at times.
- the tracks are a huge target.
Mk.VIA AA: the saddest tank in the world.
Class: Underrated
This tank is simply here because I feel bad for it. I'm willing to bet this is the least played tank ever. To prove this point, do you have it researched? i'm willing to bet not.
Pros:
- Looks unassuming
- Unassuming
- Is at 1.0
- can move ok, but nothing special.
Cons:
- 2 crew
- no armor
- only 13mm of pen with best ammo, it can however kill armored cars and planes.
M5A1: As recemended by Vsolid
As requested by: Vsolid
Class: Underrated
Vsoild said this tank was underrated, so I decided to look into it a bit. It seems alright and I can say I don't see many people talking about it. compared to the M22 at least.
Pros:
- The guns ok
- 4 crew
- Speedy
Cons:
-Little armor
-Tall for a light tank
KV-85: IS 0.5
Class: Underrated
The KV-1 series is terrific. The KV-2 is one of the perimeters of russian bias. The KV-85 however is just a KV-1 with a 85mm gun. This is similar to the IS-1 and as such gets overlooked when grinding.
Pros
- Gun is good
- Armor is up to KV Standards
- Looks nice
Cons
- A bit Slow
- Skippable
NC.223.3: Bombing the blitz
Class: Underrated
Welcome to the first aircraft on the list! I don't play as much air forces as I do ground forces, but I can't clearly see that the NC.223.3 is a clear standout in bombers. Now that bombers have also gained a buff to their tail strength, this might as well be a low tier fortress.
Pros
- Hold a lot of bombs
- Has 20mm turrets
- Looks amazing
Cons
- only 3 turrets
- no armor
T26-4: Little KV-2
Class: Underrated
One of my personal favourites, The T26-4 is just crazy! With a 76mm mortar at its disposal there's nothing this tank can't kill. This tank may just do it for you if you can ignore some of its bigger down sides. Just like its father, the KV-2
Pros
- The 76mm gun has only 37mm of pen, but has 155g of explosive filler.
- Moves ok.
- Tries its hardest
Cons
- Literally everything else
The Pz.38 series: A little bit of Czech spice
Class: Obscure
Im listing all the Czech tanks in the german tree (except for the hetzer) because it's a nice stock tank. The problem is, just like the M6A1 it is overshadowed by another tank in the same tree and BR. The Pz.II. This is quite a shame, as the tank is pretty good.
note: pictured above is the Pz.35, Sorry.
Pros
- nice gun.
- one of the few starter tanks with both explosive filler and good penetration (even a 1 meter fuze delay).
-angle able.
Cons
- no sloping.
- armor can be lacking.
- movement is nothing special.
- looks might not be up to your standards.
The S.35: Gaijined
Class: Obscure
While well known as the best medium tank France made in ww2 (as well as one of the only make in ww2) no one seems to use it. There are 2 reasons for this, and Gaijin is the reason for both of them.
First, the tank has a really low reload, even for a 1 man turret. almost 10 SECONDS (without crew skills.) Secondly, the tank is missing the armor it should have (primarily in the front.)
Pros
- It can move well
- It can shoot well
- It can armor well
- It can angle well
- It can look well
Cons
- LOOOOOOOONG reload.
- only 3 crew, close together
- armor is ok but not great. Especially when up tiered.
The 75/46 M43: its good, go get it.
Class: Obscure
This was a wonderful tank destroyer to play. While the whole series is nice, none of them have the same gun as the 75/46. There's not much to say, this plays easy and crushes easier.
Pros
- Good armor
- Nice gun
- Pairs well with the pizza van
- Neat camo
Cons
- Sluggish
- No turret
M2 Medium: AMERICAN FIREPOWER
Class: Obscure
Have you ever thought, "This tank is good an all, but what if I have to fight 100 infantry at a time on my way to berlin?" Well congratulation! you have been hired for the american armor design team.
Pros
- Nice sloped armor (except at the top)
- Classic low tier american gun
- 9 MACHINE GUNS, FACING LITERALLY EVERYWHERE
- 6 crew members
- Somehow quick
Cons
- Previously mentioned crew are almost inside each other.
- While sloped on the front, armor is lacking
- The turret doesn't move. At all.
Japanese Heat Shells: The Ro-Go's not so useless now!
Class: Obscure
Im bending the rules abit here, but I feel writing all or these would waste time. the tanks Im talking about are the Ro-Go, I-Go Ko, Chi-ha and Ho-1. These all have gotten the same thing: HEAT shells. and on guns with low velocity and high explosive density, this means a lot!
Pros:
- The Ro-Go now has 77mm of pen
- Unlocked by default for all 57mm guns
- Feel good to use
Cons:
- Low velocity means you have to angle the barrel up higher, this is a bigger problem with the Ro-Go, it's like playing as an artillery cannon.
- Locked in a Brawling strategy for previously mentioned velocity.
- Not on the Ho-Ro, real missed opportunity.
AMX-13 DCA 40: BOW DOWN TO THE NEW OSTWIND
Class: Obscure
I bet you thought "Oh good, the ostwind lost its super pen ammo! now 4.7 is safe!" well first of all, the sherman jumbo wants a word with you. Second, this isn't liberation, just a change in management.
Pros:
- The gun has 90mm of pen. this can go in the side of the previously mentioned sherman jumbo. This, to say the least, is crazy.
- The chassis is no long based off a medium tank. So it's fast.
- 20mm of turret amor means it has better protection from 50.cals at around 500m
- Sloped frontal armor
Cons:
- Will not survive a shell
- Ammo is completely surrounding the turret, so high explosive is your weakness
- Open top
Object 268: As recommended by Sheldon
Class: Obscure
Sheldon is the sole person recommending this as I have never played it. BUT I can approve of its obscurity. I can only remember seeing this once and it looks pretty formidable.
Pros
- Amazing frontal armor.
- Moves surprisingly quick.
- 152mm gun with 660g of filler.
Cons
- Gun only faces forward
- Only 250mm of pen with heat might lack in an uptier.
- 22 second reload
Sm.92: The one from 1.87
Class: Obscure
I'm placing this here just in case. I think this plane will go the way of all the other mid to low tier planes introduced with top tier updates. This plane doesn't deserve to be forgotten so fast as it is interesting
Pros
- Twin Fuelgalages mean you have extra stability.
- Has lots of guns.
- Carries lots of bombs.
Cons
- Not as many guns as the SM.91
- Only 1 pilot for some reason
The Archer: Recommended by: (Unknown, please tell me if you can find him)
Class: Obscure
when people talk about the Archer it's almost only with disdain. But its not actually that bad if you can't get used to its admittedly weird design. 17 pound guns don't come lower than in this tank. That may be the only string to its bow, but it is a good string.
Pros
- Amazing gun.
- Amazing pen.
- Ok movement.
Cons
- You already know them from the picture above.
Independent: As recommended by German Field Marshal Erwin
Class: Obscure
Well, here you go Erwin, You wore me down. The independent is a nice tank if a bit costly as a premium. A collectors dream and a ginders nightmare. As a result, no one plays it as much as the T-35 or the (Unpronounceable).
Pros
- Looks cool.
- Huge amount of crew.
- Machine guns for days.
Cons
- Little armor.
- Little gun.
- Belongs in a museum.
SwordFish: Naval air Craft part 1
Class: Obscure
With the naval forces here most planes previously overlooked will gain new power. With them will be the Swordfish, the 1.0 cute little biplane that can kill any ship it wants. The worst nightmare of battle ships is going to be a fun craft to fly.
Pros
- Torpedo will one shot many ships.
- Tail gunner, rare on such a small platform
Cons
- Fragile
- Belongs in a museum
The AMC.35 (ACG.1): 2 many men
Class: Unknown
Why doesn't anyone use this tank? The first tank with a 2 man turret, and no one seems to even acknowledge it!
Pros
- Same gun as the S.35, but has a reload above 10 years
- Turret turns well
- Good top speed
Cons
- Sluggish
- Little armor ( it is definitely a light tank)
- flat, un-slope... able... armor
T-28: The Rushing Russian
Class: Unknown
Welcome to the top... Well bottom technically. This tank is not the bottom of the list performance wise though, It has weird and amazing stats that I will list for you now, But I implore you. Even if you don't play any tank on this list. Play. This. Tank. The weird plus sized BT-7.
Pros
- Good gun.
- APHE has enough penetration to bypass a lot of armor.
- The same APHE has an ok amount of filler.
- Has a power to weight ratio of 2:1. This is a game changer.
- 6 crew, Well spaced.
- Armor is weird but good weird.
Cons
- Only 25 mm of armor (50mm in the "e" Version.)
- Slow at turning.
- Can't swim.
AMR.35 ZT3: The Tankette Terror
Class: Unknown
You ever played the M22? were you sad about it nerf? Do you have a lack of empathy for new players of the game? Well, This is the tank for you good sir. It will kill anything at its tier and even more.
Pros
- 63mm of pen with APC
- Fast
Cons
- 2 crew
- Little Armor
- Overshadowed by the entire british and american line up.
FCM.36: FCM.36
Class: FCM 36 GANG
FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG. FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG, FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG. FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG FCM 36 GANG.
Pros
- FCM 36 GANG.
- FCM 36 GANG, FCM 36 GANG.
-FCM 36 GANG.
Cons
- None.
B5N2: Naval air Craft part 2
Class: Unknown
Say goodbye to any american ship you can see. The B5N2 is like the SwordFish with more speed. (Which considering thats a big problem of the SwordFish means a lot.) This Plane will kill.
Pros
- Torpedo.
- at 1.7.
- Agile and quick.
- Good armorment for low tier targets.
- Tail Gunner.
Cons
- No armor.
- Easy to kill.

After reading this I went back to my British Tier 1 tanks and found I had purchased the Mk.VIA AA, but never taken it to battle. I think this is because the Brits have those AC armoured cars and a good AA at BR 1.7. However, I'm enjoying the poor little sad tank because if you are patient it is very good at shooting down fighters, which is its job of course! The Brits are actually very good at BR 1.0 to 1.7 especially.

that is odd...
I can list the spelling erars for you
