Description
Stronger Start
In short this gives a small boost to the number of points you have to spend in character creation, thus giving you a stronger start to the game.

Changes
Attribute points total: 3 > 6
Civil skill points total 1 > 3
Combat skill points total 2 > 5
Talent points total 1 > 2
Values provided are Base Game > Modded.

Modded class presets
Please note this mod will likely not work if you select a "class" preset in character creation outside of the original game ones, as this mod uses the presets as a proxy to modify the amount of points available to you. If you wish to use another class mod alongside this I would suggest picking a vanilla class normally and then editing it to feature whatever abilities, talents etc. that the class mod adds.

Credit note
This mod runs on the same concept as "A Lucky Break" by Arsene-Lupin on Steam/Mwulf on Nexus mods. Credit to them for the framework provided for building this kind of mod on the nexus mods page. Like the "A lucky break" mod, this provides a boost to your Attribute, skill, civil and talent points, but the specific values are different.

Want to support the creator?
If you'd like to contact me for something, or otherwise keep up with me outside of Steam, you can typically find most of what I'm up to lately through my Carrd page.[fjarunsigr.carrd.co] Following on any of the platforms in my Carrd would be appreciated, and they're a bit more reliable to contact me through than Steam is.

How can I get help?
If you need help quickly, try contacting me on my Twitter. If you just want to tell me about a potential issue, feel free to use the Steam comments - just be aware that these are slower as the notifications are largely useless.

Do not try to create mod page discussions for help at all. They are by far the worst method, as there is no notification for when one is started whatsoever.

If and when I start actively modding again, I will see what I can do to offer alternative download options. For the moment, this is offered as-is.

No worries, hope you'll be able to put together your own version pretty easily now.

Thanks for the advice, everything worked out, and sorry for the spam

So the process I believe from memory for me was to create a project in divinity engine, and then move the files that make up this mod into that project directory to be able to publish it.

If you want to experiment on making a similar one, unpack mine, change the files in it to your liking - unsubscribe from this to avoid steam workshop overwriting it - repack mine, and see if your changes work, first of all. That way you know if your desired results are plausible in the first place.

Aside from that, if you check the credit section in my description, the author of that mod originally had a guide on how to make these, that's how I got started. It's been a long time since though. I don't remember much and I don't know if they still have the guide either.

Unfortunately I can't find the key "NumStartingAttributePoints" and "NumStartingTalentPoints", maybe they removed it, I don't understand in which section to look. I would like to try to recreate the same mod but with my own edits

Ahh guilty, I found it. It's in the ExtraData section... Thanks for the advice

If you're using the divinity engine that's why. The entire mod is just plain text changes to the class files. If you look up the "Pak Extractor Guide" via docs.larian.game, that'll get you in to the files. You can edit the values very easily after unpacking my mods.

Hello. Can you please tell me what parameter you edited when creating the mod?
This Stats Editor? Journal Editor? Quest? I don't quite understand.
I can't quite find it.

Thanks for the mod!
It worked fine for me.
Both for my Tav at start of game and for Red using the magic mirror.

Doesn't work for me at all. New game with no other mods.
