I prefer the smallest tank, and then I have 8 of them with 4 fish in each. I buy dough when the market is low and use that to feed them (fast and easy).
Build up Portia ASAP so you have more markets to sell in.
You'll be ROLLING in cash in no time. While you wait, you can also do regular fishing of course, just giving you further amounts to sell. I'm a multi millionaire just from fish!
In-game time only passes if you reel in a fish. If you let three fish go in a row, the bait gets eaten anyway. I usually only reel in emperor and king fish if I can help it. I'll reel in a regular fish if it's the third regular fish in a row so I don't waste my bait.
Hope this helps!
Just sharing, you can also frequently exchange your data discs for large planter boxes, irrigation tower & tiles at the Church store & then sell them for a decent amount of gols, especially when the market is over 100%. You'll always ended up with too much discs anyway ;)
Even with the extra salt used it, is more cost efficient than any of the rare fish. And you can get the Bladefish very easily while fishing for Wisefish in the collapsed wasteland. It is a win-win scenario.
