WIP N Scale 72X32 Door layout

I am currently building my first N scale layout. However, my size is constrained so I am using a 6 Foot by 2 and a half foot table. Layouts around this size are commonly called hollow core door layouts or HCD layouts.

I tried to measure the table as close as possible by translating IRL box cars to the box cars in the game. Things may be off but it is enough to get the general idea of the layout. I have laid the track out in real life like the plan in the game and everything fits properly.


Now, this layout is not done, I plan to add a small residential area and a small industrial area and potentially a logging area if I can squeeze it in. IN the future, I plan to extend on one of the corners with a shelf layout which will be a large rail yard and storage.


**Please note** This is still a work in progress. While the track plan is more or less set in place, I am not certain about the placement of terrain, buildings, and roads.

Also, there are two other tables in the room, the one closest to the start menu was my first idea for the layout but was abandoned due to the grading being too steap and the difficulty for a first time layout. The middle table was the first iteration of this layout, instead of deleting it I left it.
