too bad textures aren't so great, i can only tell what the pieces are by the position on the board, once the game starts i'm lost. i think you could arrange this with statue of colonist and specific outfits, and statue of animal when needed, this way you could at least remember what piece a statue is supposed to be since you customzed it yourself. let me know if you rework the artwork though, the idea is nice, just needs polishing

Had some strange errors pop up with this installed. Kept telling me it failed to create sculptures. Flooded the error log.

Oh my god. With a multiplayer mod, you could reinstall pieces and actually play chess this way. That's amazing.

100% agree with Pelador's idea. Watching my pawns play each other in chess would be surprisingly awesome!

hi, maybe there could be a way to make smaller, (quicker/cheaper) chesspiece sculptures, that are simply known as "make a small chess piece" and 1 more recipe to be able to craft a Polished Wooden Chess Board, and these can be sold individually for less.

+ 1 recipe that lets you merge 16 pieces & a wooden box, into a ChessKit which can be traded for a greater value than the sum of its parts? :)

I appreciate the suggestion! It's an interesting idea. There would need to be a Chessboard structure added to limit the interaction to a predefined region. I only intended for this to be a cosmetic addition compatible with the vanilla game initially, but I'll keep this in mind. Thanks!
