The choice of factions and location is all based on what works best for gameplay.
Not actual historical accuracy. Polish resistance uses mostly german weapons in IFA3, would be boring if both sides where very similar.

@Kristensen i am aware of the ammo issue. Giving units custom loadouts would be a bit of an performance impact. Because gear would be applied to the unit after they spawned. I will do this and see how bad it is and then depending on the outcome change it.

I might even use the ORBAT tool from ALIVE for it. Which would require me making a mod folder and you had to load the mission and mod in your launcher to be able to play. (doesn't require
ALIVE though)

Units not spawning after some time is a new one. Hopefully i run into that issue myself at some point so i can investigate further. If anyone else encounters this issue please report it to me.

A strange thing happened, after about 30 mins of spawning and engaging in combat, whenever i spawned a unit and spent the points for it, the paratroopers stopped appearing on all spawns? I was only at around 10/20, and couldn't spawn from then on when requisitioning. Not sure what caused it.

Also I noticed that the units are generally very sparsely geared (ammo on especially), which means you have to swap around units quiet often, and units in the fighting end up with no ammo quickly.
