Reinforced Armor

Beschreibung
Welcome to the Reinforced Armor.
A Half-hour Job or less, that essentially provides a reinforced armor, that also won't be deformed away by damage.
It has every preformance advantage of regular Keen Armor, as it's modeled in the same exact way.
Stat wise, this has the same weight & health as light armor; But is more than 2x the durability.
For small-grid, this armor has the same weight & health per block as the large-grid variant.

The texture is debatable, and is likely to be replaced.

It has it's own tab in G-Menu, and comes in both small & large grid.

Due to wanting sleep at 2am, I quickly left it at the default costs.

You can blame Blackbomber & Kuroshi for this release of armor, being available.

Kreeg, whenever you place a small grid reinforced armor of any type, the build model is using the large grid sized one instead of the small grid. Just so you know that bug.

okay, thanks. Ive found LSF and it adds a mod armour plate to a NEW build or a blueprint but, yeah, nothing that appears to mod an upgrade.

Ah, midspace's toolbox could maybe replace the armour used with this, possibly(?)
Not entirely sure.
Several other methods are over-rides so all Keen armour is it, etc etc

Dear Kreeg cos for the amount of stuff you do for the modders and players, saying Dear Kreeg feels about right :steamhappy: Do you know of any way to lets say upgrade normal armour into your armour but without having to completely rebuild a ship from scratch. I would love to increase the armour on several vehicles but i cant just print them out with the ''x3 thicker armour please"tab checked ( would love THAT option) so i was wondering if you, with your EXTENSIVE knowledge, would be aware of any option or method to allow that. Ps, thanks for all your amazing work in making this ''game' better.

Thanks for replying. After repeated searching, I found what I was looking for on the workshop that should (I hope) work. I don't know if the component requirements are "balanced" though.

I could, just it wouldn't likely tile properly.
So I would make it essentially a "non-armor" block, but look visually identical, and with the stats expected.

Could I make a request, if it's not too much to ask, Kreeg?
Would it be possible to create armor block beams, for example a "beam" with the same length and component cost as 5 light armor blocks for small grids, if such modded blocks (which should have been in the vanilla game from the start IMO) do not exist on the workshop? If they already exist, then I am probably not looking hard enough.
Armor blocks for small-grids are horrifically expensive on the block and PCU count. For example armoring a 5x5x5 section takes 218 blocks and 218 PCU, which is almost 22 times the amount of any sized cargo container. (If my math is correct).

I lack that texture at the moment.
But in theory it could do that.

Nice idea. If you do replace the skin could I suggest the old Keen camo? I miss that!

Nice release! It reminds me of that "digital" cammo worn by some millitaries around the world.
