The effects feel a little overkill to me, still great I just don't use it all that much because the effects cover so much of the screen, I prefer more subtle effects.

Also I'd like to see what it would look like going into the other direction, light collecting into staff rather than spreading out from it.

That sideways circle overlapping with the staff looks wrong to me. Also the overall speed of the scene is pretty fast, but you can turn it down without fps drop as it is a scene not a video. Good overall.
