Moartem's Thrumbo Gods

Description
Adds a Thrumbo messenger event, where the gods send you a thrumbo as messenger to deliver their demands.
This includes human sacrifices, severe impacts for individual colonists and strange rules. A second feature are divine whispers, which give your colonists strange commands with less impact. In general this mod aims to create a choatic player experience without adding a lot of new content. If you install this mod don´t expect massive changes but rather a new playthrough with a twist unlike a pure scenario could accomplish.

IMPORTANT: Existing colonies will not be affected, to use this mod you need to start a new colony with the "Moartem's Trumbo Gods Scenario". You can get this scenario in the steam workshop (to the right) or you can find it in the mod folder, where the Readme contains installation instructions.

Alternatively you can create your own scenario, which includes a "TrumboMessenger" event repeating each 15 days and a Divine Whispers event repeating each 7 days. You will also want to deactivate the "PassingTrumbo" event and start with a molotov and some drugs.

Thanks to reddit user Inkary_ for testing this mod.

On popular demand language support and more features can be added.

If you want a direct download for manual installation, click here and follow the instructions in the Readme: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gl3e5yyp0hcq3p2/MoartemsTrumboGods1.1.zip?dl=0

Changelog:
Update 1.1:
- Divine Whispers added: As with the trumbo messenger event this event will only activate with new colonies with the updated scenario. If you feel confident, you can also edit your existing save file (backup recommended). This should be the last update to require a new colony.
- Live or death duells added
- Fixed animals being counted towards colonists.

Maybe you can do a patch for RImworld Religion to add more flavor.

Playing without the scenario seems to break the game. At least, it's never working for me. Like this mod is not existing and only generates errors when the thrumbo msg happened. Maybe I shouldn't use it with RimOverhaul though. Or maybe because I am using a mod that changes thrumbo name into thrumbro lol

@Mistletoe The Bard sure, however it will be a bit odd if you get both the normal and the trumbo messenger event. Balance may also be out of whack.

Can I use this mod for only the incidence without using the scenario?

@dnimenfive There is actually no enforced punishment to neglecting the demands, as that would be much more complicated to implement. For now you need to use self discipline and play by the rules.

@2toothy So did you install both the mod and the scenario? I´ll add a manual download link in case your steam workshop has problems.

@Klonter77 It´s more than a simple scenario, because it continuously influences your game every 15 days. Maybe you overestimated the impact that it would have on your game, but I had to keep the Trumbo Messenger events rare to not throw over balance. If you have constructive feedback, I would be glad to hear it.

@Trapper´s lil bitch: At least they have each other ;-)

What's the downside to not accepting the demands?

Can't wait to burn all my crops before the winter and have every colonist walk on peglegs because the Holy Thrumbo commanded so!
