ULTIMATE EARTHSHAKER GUIDE: BECOME A MASTER NINJA ASSASSIN

Earthshaker has long been persecuted. Called horrible names like support, underpowered, and worthless without blink. But now, Earthshaker has had enough of this and is ready to take on the world with his newly found ninja talents. Are you powerful enough to control the monster that is, MASTER NINJA ASSASSIN EARTHSHAKER.

Overview

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CONVENTIONAL SUPPORT EARTHSHAKER GUIDE. IF YOU WANT TO BE A COMPLETE TRYHARD STOP READING NOW. HOWEVER, IF YOU LIKE FUN AND LAUGHING, THEN THIS IS THE PERFECT GUIDE FOR YOU.

This build is a semi carry build that levereges enchant totem along with damage items in order to one burst scrubs in pub games. If done correctly, you will be able to one burst enemy heroes while also obliterating the enemy team with chain stuns.

Early game (1st 10-15 min)

Early Game Checklist

1. Make sure you are laning with someone you know so that they won't mistake you for support

2. Get more last hits than you know what to do with.

3. Don't die.

Starting Items

Go for you standard combination of tango, salve and branches. Get stout shield if you think you need it. Don't get clarity potions since you will be farming and are likely to take some harass. But don't worry about that, as you will be able to end their lives soon enough.

Early Item Progression

Although Earthshaker has by far the most ninja skill set in the game, he is hindered by the fact that he has the most god awful mana pool in not only DOTA 2, but also LoL and HoN. (not that anyone cares since those games suck) To offset Earthshaker's only weakness, you will need to procure some mana regen. Ring of Basilius is good because it costs almost no money and gives you decent regen and some armor. Bottle is very good especially if your team has a mid that is manly enough to skip bottle. (a good example is invoker with his glorious hair) Soul Ring is great in that it gives a lot of mana but is only extremely effective with combined with bottle, tranquil boots or with a healing support. (to figure this out ask these questions: is your support a pink dude who is incapable of uttering any word that isn't his name? is he jamaican? if you answered yes to one or more of these, then you have a healing support) Overall, soul ring with bottle is the best as it gives large hp and mana regen for cheap. Wand is also great to have.

Boot Choices

1. Phase Boots: these give you damage and let you position more easliy they are the best provided you have your hp and mana regen covered. Make sure you have regen because the extra time that you spend running back to base is time that you could have spent farming enemy heroes.

2. Tranquil boots: get these if you got soul ring and don't have any other hp regen.

3. Arcane Boots: Advantage: give lots of mana. Disadvantage: cost huge $$$. Only get if your team really needs it. These also don't provide hp regen so you will need to spend even more money on that.

NOTE: avoid spending too much money on regen early game as it will delay your core items and slow down the time that it takes to evolve into the badass ninja assassin. Not having items with Earthshaker is like playing pokemon when you dont get any pokemon except for bidoof and magikarp. It sucks.

Mid to Late Game Item Progression

Core Items

GET SHADOW BLADE FIRST IT IS THE BEST PUB ITEM AND GIVES YOU THE MOST ENCHANT TOTEM BURST FOR THE LEAST MONEY And no this is not optional.

Late Game Luxury Item Questionarre

1. Do I feel lucky enough to win the lottery today? If yes, get daedalus.
1.2. Am I playing DOTA 2? If yes, get daedalus.
1.3. Do I want to win this game? If yes, get daedalus.
1.4. Do I like money from kills? If yes, get daedalus.
1.5. Did I just die irl from a heart attack because I was stomping so hard? If yes, make sure that the person who finds your body purchases daedalus for you.

2. Am I so angry that I just want to bust people's faces in from long range RIGHT NOW? If yes, get blink.
3. Did my most recent stock market investment pay off granting me 14000 gold? If yes, get 3 battle furys.
4. Did my opponents pick those prissy heroes with evasion? If yes, get mkb.
5. Do I want to become frank the tank? If yes, get heart.
6. Do I want to become even more frank the tank? If yes, get heaven's halberd.
7. Do I want so see my enemies abandon the game when I heal to full health from one auto attack? If yes, get Satanic.
8. Would I rather one burst towers instead of heroes? If yes, get rapier.
9. Are enemies stacking armor like a bunch of no fun douchbags? If yes, get desolator or dagon 5.
10. Do I want to throw the game? If yes, get support items.

Skill Build

There is no set skill build for the ninja assassin because he is just that cool. Just follow these general rules and you should be fine.

1. Prioritize fissure and enchant totem early. Get as many points in fissure as you can for the nuke but make sure totem is maxed before you finish shadow blade.

2. Have a point in all of your skills by level 4. Aftershock is a good skill even at level one.

3. Get your ult at levels 6, 11, and 16.

4. Max all of your skills before getting stats.

Advanced Tactics

To Impress a Chick, Helicopter Totem

Always use enchant totem before you pop shadow blade. The Buff from totem lasts 14 seconds, a full 9 seconds longer than the cooldown of the skill. This will ensure that the bonus damage from breaking invis with shadow blade will proc and stack with your enchant totem hit if you get a crit. Wait to break invis until enchant totem is off cooldown. After breaking invis, immediately recast enchant totem. The stun from aftershock should keep them in place for long enough to hit them again. By this point if they are not dead, then finish them off with your nukes and some auto attacks. By doing this double enchant totem strike, earthshaker swings his totem around repeatedly and is sure to be attracting a harem sometime soon.

Why this Build is Baller

Here are some figures

1. At level 16 with phase, daedalus and shadow blade: double crit helicopter totem does around 2300 damage.

2. At level 25 with phase, daedalus, rapier and 3 hearts: double crit helicopter totem does around 7000 damage. And you will have over 5000 hp so you need not worry about loosing your precious rapier.
