Now that I rethink about this, it's a mix of everything: the new texture looks higher quality, Ludeon did explicitly decide to comply to Geneva Convention (but Ludeon is not a military...? idk about international laws), and RBSE did something not warranted.
What I care is eg RBSE doing what is clearly not in its mod description.
While legally this would not necessarily fall under fair use, the law isn't necessarily the ultimate purveyor of morality. I see no immediate issue with the context in which the symbol is being ‘misused’.
