Description
This is a simple patch mod ensuring that the medicine textures appearing in the game are using the latest version of the textures (i.e., no red crosses on medicines). This aims to "fix" (more like, correct) issues of some mods applying the old texture to the medicines, notably the RBSE mod.

Package ID: V1024.MedTextureRestore

Installation
This mod is not required if your medicine textures are using the latest version. When in doubt, place this mod at the very bottom of your mod list. This will guarantee the effect of this mod.

Save-game Compatibility
This mod is safe to add to or remove from an existing savegame. It is simply a patch to tell the game to use another texture of the medicines.

Compatibility with Other Mods
No compatibility issues.

Ah yeah, I did say something like that in the past, but that was years ago, and I think I changed a bit.

Now that I rethink about this, it's a mix of everything: the new texture looks higher quality, Ludeon did explicitly decide to comply to Geneva Convention (but Ludeon is not a military...? idk about international laws), and RBSE did something not warranted.

Your previous comments would suggest otherwise. Hey, I'm not judging either way; different things annoy different people. I've definitely got a few of those myself! I just thought it was kind of funny seeing your comments about the symbol violating the Geneva convention, while talking about a game that like you make hats out of human babies. No ill will meant, just a funny contrast imo!

Actually, I don't care about the red cross stuff; this is RimWorld afterall.

What I care is eg RBSE doing what is clearly not in its mod description.

You know that "I can excuse [horrible thing] but I draw the line at [way less important thing]" meme? This reminds me of that. You can excuse human leather hats, slavery, cannibalism, human experimentation, inhumane prison conditions, and who even knows what else, but you draw the line at using a red plus sign on a first aid kit. Priorities LMAOO

While the Red Cross does reserve the right to trademark their logo, and there is a certain sanctity in the clear and untampered messaging involved in such a symbol, this is a mod. This is not in the official game, this is just someone changing the color of a symbol that, in the context in which he's using the red cross symbol, it holds no life-or-death meaning. No one here is defiling the symbol.

While legally this would not necessarily fall under fair use, the law isn't necessarily the ultimate purveyor of morality. I see no immediate issue with the context in which the symbol is being ‘misused’.
