Description
On this 100th Anniversary of Armstice Day, I figured it would be fitting to release something related. With that, I chose... South Africa? While he is not mentioned often in relation to the Great War, Jan Smuts, Prime Minister of South Africa during both World Wars was a vital figure in the Paris Peace Conference, as well as in battles in the colonial front (such as Namibia), and a highly regarded man by the crown and multiple British PMs (notably Winston Churchill, although that would be much later).

South Africa

UA: Rainbow Nation. Domestic Trade Routes provide +1 Gold per Strategic resource in the destination city, +1 Culture for Bonus resources. Cities gain a burst of Loyalty upon unlocking a new Diplomatic Policy.

UU: Kommando. Replaces the Infantry. Grants Culture upon defeating an enemy unit while stationed on or adjacent to a Resource. Grants a burst of Loyalty to all cities when promoted.

UTI: Safari Park. Unlocked at Conservation. Must be constructed on flat land, and only one per city. Yields +1 Culture and Gold for every adjacent Farm and Pasture. Grants Tourism equal to its Culture yield, and cities with a Safari Park gain +10% Tourism, +20% while at Full Loyalty.

Jan Smuts

LUA: Covenant of Nations. Gain +2 Alliance Points from International Trade Routes per active Diplomatic Policy, and gain an additional Diplomatic Policy slot per Emergency you have entered. Trade Routes grant +1 Culture per Trading Post they pass through if sent from a city at Full Loyalty.

Agenda: Greater Dominion. Does not like those with a large military presence or many cities on his continent. Pleased by those from other continents who wish to ally with him.

@Kostacks please you utter failure of a history student learn so South African history and what Smuts did in his invasion of the Cape and in his destruction of a Johannesburg suburb.

@Trebute so was Smuts, both brought terror while fighting for their cause (Mandela to the Parliament and Smuts to the Cape Colony and the British living there when he attacked the Cape Colony during the Second Freedom War), Smuts lost and became a dog to the victors while Mandela sat and rotted away in a cell while the MK spiralled into more and more radical stuff without Mandela holding them back for fear of a military response.

@Shuhrat He was a terrorist, he doesn't deserve it

@berninated_peasant I'd say it could make for a good duo civ, Smuts for diplomacy/war (leader of South Africa during ww2, front line leader during ww1 and quite successful during the Second Freedom war) also people of the time really liked Smuts considered him as the go to guy when the international world wanted a diplomat to send ex. Hungary in 1920's while Mandela for culture/diplomacy - Both where people of there times, Smuts the kommando/freedom fighter turned soldier and politician while Mandela the terrorist turned father of the nation.

@Shuhrat Nelson Mandela would be a much healthier representation of South Africa. I completely agree.

Maybe Nelson Mandela would be a good alternative leader for South Africa?

The civ help Jan Smuts is literately copied from wiki and has stuff like "Fukoff" other than that the only issue I have with the civ help would be for the South Africa one, witch states that The Republic had it's first democratic election in 1994, witch is false the Republic has been democratically electing it's leaders ever since it was founded in 1910, in 1994 it just went from a partial participation to a full participation election.
