OvN - Storm of Chaos

**Should be compatible with every mod including overhauls like SFO/Crynsos. Only for ME campaigns. For access to Chaos Dwarf units and Chaos Dwarf Campaign Event you must also be subscribed to Decomposed Chaos Dwarf mod**

This mod is inspired and based on the Warhammer Storm of Chaos campaign supplement. This mod creates a new AI faction “Hordes of Chaos” who own four settlements inspired by the lore. They have customised buildings, garrisons and unit roster.

Every turn the Hordes of Chaos hold these evil strongholds there is a small chance of a unique campaign event, whoever you are playing as you will learn of these invasions bringing the world together.

Events

• Slavers of Zharr-Naggrund - Strange twisted creatures known as Chaos Dwarfs have appeared en masse from the east. It is their infernal intent to destroy all in their path until only they and the gods of Chaos rule the world. (Requires Decomposed's Chaos Dwarf mod to appear - spawns an army of Chaos Dwarfs!)
  
• Kurgan Hordes - A Chaos army will appear somewhere in the Worlds Edge Mountains
  
• Howls of the Abyss - A Chaos army invades Middenland but Valten Exalted of Sigmar has risen an army in its defense. Also tales are abound of scratching noises in the dead of nightand of echoing chitters from the depths.
  
• A Worthy Challenger - A Chaos army has arisen in the High Pass, Grimgor sensing a worthy challenge sets out to face it while the Slayer King patiently wait's to defend Peak Pass.
  
• A Promise Fulfilled - As Norscans raid Imperial shores and Chaos spills into the Northern Wastes the Elves send what warriors they can spare.
  
• Cult of Slaanesh Rises - Morathi and her chaotic allies march towards the steaming jungles of Lustria to satiate her greed for the ancient, magic marvels of the Old Ones. (Spawns a Cult of Pleasure army with Dark Elf and Chaos units! AI only if playing as Morathi will spawn an AI Chaos stack. Want AI or player to be able to recruit Chaos units under Morathi as per the Storm of Chaos Campaign subscribe to either Dark Elf Outposts or the Compilation)
  
• The Old Ones Struggle - Legions of unnatural beings break through from the otherworldly realm through a once sealed portal torn asunder at Xahutec the City of Echoes.

To halt the Chaos armies spawning you must destroy their strongholds this will prevent them from spawning in that area. For example if you destroy the Brass Keep they will no longer spawn in the north of the Old World.

The pack file name is SR_stormofchaos if you want to have a look or edit anything. I created the new faction by using the Naglfarlings as a base and doing some fancy DB editing. I didn’t create a new faction from scratch as this would make it a start pos mod which is not compatible with the big mods. Their “Chaos Stronghold” settlement garrison will require at least one decent stack to take over. I’ve made it so the faction can’t be confederated or made into a vassal. Theres an 8% chance a campaign event will occur when Chaos Hordes hold there four starting settlements this is lowered by 2% for each respective settlement they lose. I've kept the Hordes of Chaos mod in case people don't want the events. For access to Chaos Dwarf units and Chaos Dwarf Campaign Event you must also be subscribed to Decomposed Chaos Dwarf mod. Doesn’t effect the main chaos invasion and serves as a precursor and accompaniant to it.

Expanded Roster - Chaos Dwarfs - Required to recruit Chaos Dwarfs as WOC and to unlock the Chaos Dwarf Campaign Event.
