[MCRN] PDC Cannon Turret

Beskrivelse
Ntech Mods presents the PDC Turret: In production several months and then subsequently mothballed for a few months. This Point Defense Cannon is now rebuilt with better components and detail, and higher firing rate than it's mothballed predecessor, it will certainly be up for defending your ship against those missile volleys and general defense.


Range: 1200m
RoF: 2600rpm
Reload: 10sec

Rapid Azimuth and Elevation rotation with heavy duty motors.

This turret is also equipped with mounting tech for small grids, though not for small conveyors, although they do take up a full 2.5m cubic area, they are well equipped to defend your small ship as well.

For added damage this cannon is capable of firing the 25x184mm depleted uranium projectiles, they are costly to fire and should be used sparingly, which can be made in the assembler.

I figured it out. It's in CubeBlocks.

Love this mod, btw. It's easily one of my favorite weapon mods. On some ships, I love beams and plasma and turbolasers... but some ships just look better with a low-tech, mostly-kinetic setup. Cannons, missiles, and high-RoF PDCs. These fit my current ship project perfectly.

Plus, you can't go wrong with a little Expanse in your gameplay.

Hi, I was hoping you could help me. It seems this turret is one of the only turrets I can actually slide the AI range past 800m. Even other mods that give their turrets 3km or even 8km distance, the AI slider still only goes to 800m. I was wondering how you accomplished this. Maxtrajectory doesn't seem to have any effect on AI range.

As you mentioned, the mod still functions fine but the overlay is kinda outdated and SFX can be improved I guess.
And I understand that you might have other things in mind but can you add more non-weaponcore expanse weapons?
Non-weaponcore mods like yours are really difficult to find

These work fine, they are based on vanilla turret AI and don't require updates very often.

The turret overlay is kinda outdated. I presume you are quite busy with other mods, but can you renew this mod? As a fan of Expanse, I am looking forward to it

The DU ammo in this mod is wildly unbalanced vs vanilla gatling as measured by ore needed to manufacture it. It's got better specs all around, is particularly unrealistic in terms of per-round volume, and is absurdly cheap to make, cheaper still than both the regular gatling ammo as well as the pre-WF2 25×184 vanilla gatling ammo.
